Would anybody on here be happy if we got Houghton at the end of this season...?

I wouldn't. I've not forgiven that Oxford side for '86.

    But I would like Hughton.

    Ray?

In fairness Hughton wouldn't be my first choice, but he's won two promotions to the PL. As Stan said he was unfairly treated by Toon and now by the Canaries. I like the fact that he's generally uncontroversial, doesn't seek make the 'story' about him, and comes across as an honest and perfectly decent human being.

<laugh> yeah yeah, even as a typed it i thought it was wrong.

I wouldnt mind him as our manager. think he's a decent bloke and was treated a bit harsly and Toon.

Got some decnt form and ideas and 2 promotions isnt a bad start considering how long he's been a manager. I'd say he's more likely than many of the other "big names" that have been suggested. <ok>

I was about to ask the same. Wouldn't be disappointed if it came about.
Not sure what Norwich expect to gain now with one winnable game, but as I live in Norfolk, I'd be very happy if the budgies went down. In my experience, their arrogant fan base is only 2nd to utd.

Kenny Jacket anyone - taken a basket case team with ideas above their station (sound familiar) & turned it around

Good call. They have history together. If they hire him I'm afraid we'll see them come good while we go through another set of managers chasing the dream.

Don't want Hughton though, beyond boring. Even makes Hughes look entertaining.

I'd have Trotsky. Imagine his coaching...to SWP

"Technique is noticed most markedly in those who have not mastered it":

    Team talk:

"In a serious struggle there is no worse cruelty than to be magnanimous at an inopportune time"

"Not believing in force is the same as not believing in gravity"

    On the World Cup:

" England is nothing but the last ward of the European madhouse, and quite possibly it will prove to be the ward for particularly violent cases"

They've appointed a permanent manager, the youth coach with zero first team experience.

That could all change in the summer if they go down and yes sacked but we will be more attractive than them if we are in the same division.

Lol! SWP would be straight to the gulag on the basis of his initials alone, What a total disgrace the CC of that party, and Callinicos in particular, are.

Trotsky sure knew a good sound bite, spot on with all those quotes.

    Why not, there's worse.

    Better Chris Powell though.

A good call. He was Ollie's Assistant with us for a while before going to Swansea. Then again, why would he leave Wolves now he's got them motoring?...

Extreme left wing/ revolutionary politics in this country has always been a joke, humour free anoraks more intent with arguing with each other than changing the world. Like this lot.

For better or worse the so called far left (petit bourgeois wannabees) in the UK have, Angry Brigade aside, failed to move on to armed struggle. I lived through "gli anni di piombo" and "la strategia della tensione". Believe me we should be thankful for useless posh twats like Callinicos and the SWP.

My then wife went through Bologna Station less than 90 minutes before the bomb went off. That was the far right of course, the far left didn't targeted innocent bystanders in mass killings.
