You're a simpleton / ****** Cromer! Football analytics can sometimes be more entertaining than football! And just as the entertainment provided by a film, play or book is increased for many people by their understanding of its sub-text, allusions, tradition etc., so for some of us is the entertainment provided by a game. Others resemble visitors to an art exhibition who "know what I like and I don't like this". Anyway, the football analytics industry is not targeted particularly at fans. The people who are seriously interested in it and thirsty for what it offers are those who own and run football clubs, manage football teams, scout the right kind of player, and play the game.
That's a trifle unfair, although I agree.Maybe we are a bit Aspergers.Still I would contend that is better than tweeting that you had egg and chips for lunch, like 50% of the population.
I dislike like blaming things on bad luck, I think it can be a bit of cop out as in it's often used to excuse poor performances, laziness or not fulfilling potential. The injury situation for us has been very unfortunate I'll accept that, but when it comes down to what happens on the pitch we seem to relish in doing things the hard way. Johnson is a bizarre one, there will be phase where he is consistently one of our better players when he keeps it simple especially effort wise, but then he'll go off and do something absolutely crazy like in the Newcastle game or just randomly go off the boil. Today I thought he done a good job along with Tettey, when we play City Toure usually steamrolls through the centre but they contained them fairly well and forced them out wide, I would of liked to of seen them deal with Silva more effectively as mobile players like that are a constant headache for us.
