Not our day....do we see Mick's curtain coming down, if we start to go backwards and downwards, as some predict on here? Could be seen as season defining game. At least 6 good chances go begging.
Our decent start to the season was as I and many others on here stated that it was a flssh in the pan. We haven't beaten anyone in the top half of the table and indeed we haven't picked up a single point against any of them! That is a shocking statistic and tells you all you need to know about where our team is headed. We've got Burton away next and we fail to beat them the alarm bells should really be ringing!
My honest view is, Warky, we have all given him enough rope. His bells have tolled! We need someone younger, better equipped to manage our quite promising youth and to develop what skilled players we have, not crush them!
The home crowd today was simply magnificent according to my lad who sat in the Bobby upper. They erre willing the lads to do well but as is more and more the case these days they have been let down by the players! Change is needed and it can't come soon enough!
I think we were marginally the better side but they got the goal therefore giving them the 3points as that's how football works. I think we lack a little guile on the pitch we seem to always be trying to bulldoze a goal, I did quite enjoy the game it was competitive and we more than matched them imo. On a side note the Norwich manager looks like a hobo.
Disappointing obviously but I thought there was very little between the two sides. We edged the first half they edged the second and did a good job of containing us in the end. One bit of magic seperated the sides, if Knudsens effort or McG's header was slightly better placed it could've easily been the other way round.
Is more painful this time because it seems that there was genuinely little between the sides over 90 minutes apart from the goal. If we had been as clinical in finishing it could have been a much different story. However games like this put the season under the microscope, we have come unstuck against any team doing a little bit well. Looking back on the start of the season, we made it an effort to beat teams that weren't doing so well. For me that means Mick's last saving grace with me - ability to make teams difficult to beat, squeezing a group of limited players into a talented unit - is gone. Time for Mick to leave.
