What’s happened to Rupp? I thought he made the bench coming back from injury and has now disappeared again!
Never did I think last season that I would be wanting him back ASAP

Maybe he has heard that Pukki is "fit" but not 100% and not going to start?

Certainly has struggled in the last two games, when he appeared to have been specifically targeted. His being right footed doesn't help; I thought he looked more comfortable when DF switched him and Aarons late in the game. For today, Wednesday attack primarily down their right, but their LAM Reach is dangerous and combines well with Paterson in the centre, so Aarons is probably needed on his usual side. All in all, more reason, IMO, to make the switch to 3 at the back.

The strongest argument for 3 at the back is that Wednesday are a big side, Pulis is their Manager, we have a GK glued to his line and we will need 3 big defenders to deal with the inevitable aerial bombardment

I hope to be proven wrong but I see a draw coming up today. Despite being at home, we are still short of the first XI, and Wednesday look to have sorted their defence out a bit thanks to Tony Pulis.

But they still haven't picked up many points... so they'll probably beat us then

Big game for Vranic, suspect Tettey+Skipp was considered too negative at home. Still somewhat surprised not to see Rob Nizet on the bench, given the lack of full back cover. Still, it's a full bench at least, and at least we've got round pegs in round holes in the midfield/forwards.

Yep - still paper thin but it is a bit more reassuring as a starting line-up.

How often has "too negative at home" landed us in trouble? I hope Aarons has been told to curb his attacking instincts, otherwise I can see us being caught and losing the game.

Maybe a stat would do DD? If today goes badly we could end it in 8th.

In most of our home games the opposition has set out to frustrate us and we have won or drawn most of the games .

If we win we go 1st if we don't we will still be within a couple of points from top.

You really need to be glass 50% empty kind of guy to be so downbeat at the moment.

I gather Delia is on the pitch. Is she pissed again?

Please don't get me wrong, I'm only joking - I really like Delia. She makes me remember an aunt who used to dance on the tables at one of the local pubs. She was great fun. Much better than the other aunts who would come round and ask, 'Why isn't he married yet?', 'Why is he still studying?', 'Why isn't he a nasty, narrow-minded bigot like me?'

    Best of luck today, yellows.
