yeah its been pretty dire of late, but the club has been managed in a sensible fashion, so even if we do go down the club has a stable future.

And I love football, i just realise how much football is predicated on money nowadays. Portsmouth should have made that abundantly clear to everyone. Nothing i mentioned is 'accounting' or 'spreadsheets'. It's just readily available information one google search away. Most of it has a strong bearing on the future security of the club you support. If it wasn't just a nasty thing to do i'd use one of your guy's 'accounting smaccounting' style comments as a sig for when this stuff comes home to roost.

If the club i loved was being managed like that, i wouldn't be writing WUM posts here, i'd be sending letters to the club.

    <laugh>

Thought you'd be out celebrating until the early hours and all that, given the importance of the result today...it must have felt like winning a trophy at the final whistle. <ok>

    Ha! Ha!

Im from Essex, near Colchester actually. Been in Norwich 10 years.

Lots of my old mates were Ipswich fans as was the "craze" in the area due to geographic reasons. I chose a proper team to support instead, instead of some **** team that is from a crap hole of a town that has been in the championship for what seems like forever.

My old boss was a Ipswich fan and he was moron with a chip on his shoulder too.

<laugh> Chips on shoulder eh mate! Pots and kettles spings to mind.

As for us being a **** team well we have won some major silverware something that you boys for all your new found millions will never do! We've played in Europe more recently than you have and that will remain the case for many years to come. So **** your 'proper' team you can stuff it up your ****ter, I support one that has won some 'proper' trophies and has given more to English football than you bunch of ****s ever will.

Im off to bed, City have been on MOTD. Im going to leave you ipswich fans to wait for the football league show at midnight. :emoticon-0109-kiss:

You may have a while to wait for your draw with a club that came up from league 1 this year. Oh how the mighty have fallen. But hey you won some silverware before I was alive. Well done. <doh>

What's it like having to wait up until Sunday morning to see 30 seconds of highlights while we are on for hours at a reasonable hour on Saturday which is a treat after watching the full game in the afternoon because important games are on the internet. I guess you are on the History Channel.

Yeah I've just watched you scrape a fortunate win at home against the division whipping boys! <laugh> Must make you feel so proud but I suppose any win from anywhere will do.

    Honestly Redruth,

They come on here boasting that their safe from relegation to league 1 and were not safe from dropping out the PL and all that then when you point out a fews facts they go on about trophies they have won years ago. WTF?

    The truth hurts I guess.

The money made from that game could potentially pay of all the debt your in. The whole £70-90m.

Yes it was high pressure, at least we have something to play for.

Oh yes and your result today was awesome!<party>

It wasn't a fortunate victory... Admittedly, we didn't play as well as we can or should but we created the games best chances and converted them.

I am thinking we need a separate (and possible sticky) thread entitled - The Binners History Thread. Then all the bullshit can be dropped in there so we only have to read it once, not every ****ing week in a desperate bid to turn the conversation round <ok>
