A decent gutsy performance would be nice, I fully expect a loss, but let's not roll over for them like we have for other big teams of late.

Going to be interesting how we play without any kind of big man up front, as it pretty much rules out the long ball forwards, as Hooper isn't really the type to hold the ball up. Big chance for Hoolahan, he's probably only really got his place as we're so short on other options if Elmander isn't fit enough for a full game, but he needs to impress if he's to get a chance in the future.

On the one hand I wish I had a ticket today, on the other it's probably best I don't as it's a long way home for me after a heavy defeat.

Come on City prove me wrong make my weekend and sneak a crafty win, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease !

Good result for us at Upton Park, probably??? Keeps West Ham two games behind us and also WBA underneath us even if we lose today (which seems virtually certain).

I can't bring myself to expect to lose, it might be that they miss 15 golden chances, hit the post 27 times and we score a deflected goal that was even luckier that Hooper's against Fulham. We are going to beat them, please please. i'm going to a house party full of mancs this evening and not even a plastic one among them!!

Martin frees up snoddy a bit I hope, hopefully we've got the wingers to cause problems to their full backs.

They've both not been great to be honest, not sure who's better right now. I guess rotation is also an element of it.

At least the results so far today mean no matter what we get beaten by we won't drop into the relegation zone. I think that's classed as thinking positively...?

This is the missing ingredient - he has not been here for a couple of months.

Why does hope spring eternal? Even when all the logic says we're in for another dreadful performance? Why do we put ourselves through this?

I'm also hoping they've got a point to prove to themselves after the abysmal performance at Old trafford. Come on lads, put a shift in today
