    When you are clearly the best team in the league, second-rate refs will always try to work against you because it gives their pathetic egos a boost. I love the Championship, but the standard of refereeing is utterly woeful. They are like the kind of middle-management arseholes you get in companies. Utterly talentless, but somehow reaching a position which they truly don't deserve.

    Ironically, in the Prem, where the refs are generally decent, VAR is taking away their autonomy. In the Champs, where the refs are incompetent and VAR might actually be a good idea, there is no VAR.

    The worst thing about incompetent refs is they keep their job whatever happens. Bad managers get sacked; bad players get dropped; bad refs keep their jobs no matter how awful they are.
