Yep, just weird that Omobamidele and Gibson don’t even make the bench, surely that’s an injury or Covid
I think they were waiting on the results from about 4 possible covid cases, DS didn’t name any, Tzolis was reported this morning and I would guess that Gibson and Omobamidele must be 2 of the others.
What are the rules about cancelling games if you have players with Covid? (Thinking of the Villa game - doubt if we'll get anything today).
Does Cantwell feature in DS’s plans going forward, is he trying to give him a kick up the ass? Playing Tzolis is one thing, and leaving him on the bench for the last few games another but starting PP over him!?
Never expected Placheta to start. Sargent starts which doesn’t fill me with confidence. Looks like Covid has struck. Just our luck to have been at Spurs last match who have 13 players with Covid. When are we going to get whatever luck is going?
I think the best that can happen for us this weekend is that all the other teams lose along with us. So far, Watford, Southampton and Leeds (only just!) have lost. Let's hope Burnley and Newcastle lose to West Ham and Leicester respectively tomorrow. Then, if it's Covid, see if we can get the next two games postponed.
Guys- have some faith. We haven’t played badly under Smith, at home we’re strongest, Man U might not find their rhythm and this match is basically a free chance to get points as no-one expects it Plus we get to see our team play the greatest player of all time, albeit when in his prime
