For those who are counting, McCormack now has 2 goals in 7 games (including the cup) against 3 for Jerome in 5 games. The Villa result puts us 5 points clear of them now.
I don't think there are many posters on here that though his signature would be value for money but if Jerome gets injured I don't see Nelson Lafferty or Morris being adequate cover. I wanted Gayle keep me posted over the season on how many he gets please.
I've just read that Brady is unlikely to be fit for the game against Wigan, so let's hope Olsson is back fit, otherwise we'll have to endure Whittaker playing there and who thinks he's more of a winger than a defender!!
Why not go with the same line up as Cardiff, Klose and Bennett in the middle, Pinto and Martin the full backs?
I'd sooner see Godfrey being selected to play at LB, he CAN'T be any more of a risk than Whittaker!!!
That is because he is serially inept over really quite a long long long long time! Personally I'd rather start with ten men!
HMMM - Looks like we're in complete agreement on this one then. On another note - it would appear that the casual fans are voting with their feet/wallets/purses in that the crowd on Saturday was only just over 25,000, whereaas for most other games, it has been over 26,500
Some of that could have been the lack of take up by the Cardiff support! But there were empty seats in front and to the side of me! Worrying as the atmosphere is bad at the moment.
I can account for 10 of the missing Canaries. I've been away on a golf break with 11 others, of the 10 canaries in our group at 7 regularly attend. Not sure where the other 1490 have gone? Bah!
Yes, but the club then allocates fewer seats to away fans and it's quite a trek for them, but not as bad as us and Newcastle fans having to make the trip on a Tuesday afternoon.
With regards to the atmosphere, how was it at kickoff and the 1st 15 minutes? I know a tense game or a really poor game can dampen the volume of the crowd but it would be a very real worry if even before the game has begun to take shape the crowd can't find a voice. That realy can only be the malaise from several poor performances. I'd always turn up wanting to sing and help create an atmosphere. Maybe the massive mobile has done it. Our entire young crowd contingent just stare at it intead of making noise or interacting with the world at large. Bah!
There's a woman in front of me spends more time on her actual mobile than watching the game - and it's not to check on other scores!!!
Was pretty poor again, people round me were trying to get something going, but, Alex Neils Green and Yellow Army didn't go down a storm. Its seems as if after the initial OTBC has been sung then most of the crowd sit down in silence. Come to think of it there weren't many standing for the OTCB song. Just before halftime it was so quiet that you could hear individual voices talking normally in other parts of the ground. The first half was awful, so its understandable!
