Have to say well played Wigan. Master-class in how to defend a lead. We were very poor I'm afraid.

I don't think it was complacency I think they've been playing incredibly hard in the last 6 games plus this is the forth game in ten day. I think it's a hangover really. On to Milwall.

68% posession 2 shots on target.

Wigan had one. Poor performance against a bottom 3 side. Woeful.

Do people seriously think we were going to win every remaining game? Yes it's a disappointing result, but not entirely unexpected surely? It's been a huge effort to claw our way back into contention and there was always going to be a hiccup at some point.

If Grabban was fit was our manager complacent?

I don't think this loss is a particularly big deal. As Dorset said above, there was no way we were going to go on and win all our remaining fixtures and we are still only 3 points off second.

I still fancy us to finish in the top 2.

I hope you're right, Danary. This was a test to break down a defensive side and we failed it, much like earlier in the season against Charlton or Reading. A good reaction against Millwall will restore my faith.

Sometimes you've just got to lose fellas. We all knew this run wasn't going to last forever - the loss is out of the way now.

From bad to worse. Grabban has an ankle injury and is having surgery tomorrow.

Just one of those days I'm afraid. Early goal (was it offside? Certainly looked it) gave Wigan something to hold on to, they defended very well, we couldn't get going at all, struggled to create chances and looked sluggish. I think this tough run of games has caught up with us a little and the derby atmosphere and result led to a case of after the Lord Mayors Show. Wigan deserved their win and we go to Millwall needing three points. Still all to play for.

Ps. I hope we don't see that referee again. Staggeringly bad. Thank god he didn't affect the result

Oh cock. I said to my mate the other day this was the match I feared most and so it has transpired. Hopefully they pull their socks up and go and get the win against Millwall.

I thought we had stopped chocking away good chances! Very frustrating as it is reminiscent of our early season failing but hopefully it is just a case of several hard games in a row catching up with us.

ballbags - just woke to see the result. Malky came back to curse us. It was going to happen sooner or later and I'd prefer it now when the landscape still stretches ahead of us. Much still left to do, and I'm sure this will give us a reality check that this is not a cake walk. There may be trouble ahead!

Totally agree supers and it really was 'one of those days' and we just need to regroup and prepare for the game at Millwall.
I couldn't believe how bad the referee was and he should be 'struck off' after that appalling display. I think the crowd was justifiably on his back within the first five minutes!!!!

Just seen that Grabban needs ankle surgery - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...reveals_norwich_city_boss_alex_neil_1_3979925
Also very honest appraisal of the dismal performance from AN. <ok>

I also think yesterday was another example of why Jerome shouldn't start matches. Yes I know he's our top scorer. Yes I know he's a top striker at this level. But we started looking to get the ball into him too quickly last night and it doesn't suit us to play that way unless we play with two wide men, which we didn't. Possibly a natural reaction to going behind early and trying to force something to happen, but it was disappointing - especially given how narrow we played all night - we were more direct than usual but didn't play with any width, which hampered us. Now Grabban is out, probably for the season, I'd quite like to see Hooper play up top with Hoolahan or Dorrans in behind and use Jerome as an impact sub where he is most effective, bullying tired defences.
