Nice open game, all Watford players trying hard. Pressing well and being more direct. Morris & Ngakia doing well on the wings although Morris's final touch could be better. Altogether a great improvement.
Davis doing some good runs.... and Sarr 'almost' finishing a couple of times. Looking a little vulnerable in the box though...
I have been a little disappointed with Linington's performance, although most of his decisions have been correct. He missed what happened when Bacuna was taken out after he had passed the ball forward. Then Davis was kneed in the backside by Gibson when he collected Bacuna's pass and Linington gave a free kick against Davis (much to his frustration). Don Goodman said that he could not see any reason why Davis was penalized. Gibbs injured Gaspar with a foul in which his studs were showing. Both commentators and the analysts at half-time thought that Gibbs should have been given a second yellow card, but he was not. The commentators thought that Linington had probably not seen that Gibbs' studs were showing. At least the Watford players are making much more effort than at Swansea, but there is - understandably - a lack of craft and guile in midfield. Another injury! Kalu has had to be substituted due to a hamstring injury (probably a consequence of his lack of recent game time). The commentator said that at least it is not a midfield player, but did he realize that this is now the fourth attacker who is injured?
