He’s won every header he’s gone for.. counted 4 times Patterson has gone for Hume or Hjelde since posting and missed every time btw. Play the long ball you play it to your tallest players or is that just too much common sense?
I like what I've seen of Styles so far. He's the type of player you're going to get 7/10 from every week in my opinion. Looks like he'd be comfortable in central midfield if we ever decide to use him there. Mundle is a little raw. Doing his defensive duty well, but he doesn't know how to be direct down the wing, always wanting to stop play and then plot his way inside.
Styles looks he’ll be good if we leave him in the middle to dictate play. Can’t see what Mundle offers that Bennette wouldn’t, waste of money for a club that are constantly banging on about being vegan imo.
Not arguing the long ball, but I haven’t seen Jobe jump yet. Ball dropping in his own box, rather let it bounce than attack it, ball against 5’10 midfielder who he watches win the ball then tries to tackle. He does not ever attack a header. Hemir yes, but a Jobe, Jesus he’s awful in the air. Makes Dicchio look like Quinn
Some good signs, but no threat up front again. Not helped by a lack of width. Styles looks tidy. Will be better in a more central role. Seelt doing ok, bit nervy but ok. Hjelde solid enough. Mundle is a grafter but needs to relax a bit, looks on edge to me when on the ball. Subs might be the key here. Rusyn for Jobe would be my first call and would do it now.
