Nail hit firmly on the head.

I used to rearrange my social life to attend home games and get the odd earful off mrs kemp for being to eager to go and see us.

Now it's different. It's a little like going to the dentist, you know you have to go and if you put it off you hope for the best but when you do go its bad news. It's like pulling teeth.

I personally would like to stay up but without Hughton. We are moving in an ever decreasing circle and the football spectacle is getting worse and worse. If we stay up I hope we still change manager though.

The thing is, if we stay up its hard to change manager as CH would have fulfilled his remit. I'm sick of remits to be honest I just want to watch some decent football in whatever league.

It was turgid today for sure and some of that is due to the opposition. For those of you above who go week in week out I can feel a bit of your pain. When stoke went down to ten we didn't know what to do except hoof it. At least we didn't lose

The ****test, most boring football I saw from a Norwich team against us at St James' was under Lambert. In general, I would say Chris' team is more solid and workmanlike, but I wish people would stop with the gross hyperbole, it's hardly a completely different proposition watching the Canaries than it was before.

You've had some absolutely awful luck this year. Genuinely awful. Combined with this, you've had players like Bassong who seem to constantly make stupid errors this season. You then get people saying the "dressing room is morale is so low right now", "this is the worst I've ever seen Norwich play in it's history", "Chris Hughton has no idea what he's doing"...

Basically, he becomes the scapegoat for collective failure, exacerbated by the fact Lambert pissed off at exactly the right moment and you guys are still up his arse. You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the Villain, eh? Fair enough, Paul Lambert did leave to become Barcelona boss because he's the best there's ever been <doh>

Just because you loved Hughton and thought he was very good for you, it doesn't mean that he is the same for us.
Yes we have had injuries this season, but so have other teams as well.

We have had a couple of good results this season, but a couple is not enough.

I can understand the team perhaps giving certain teams too much respect, and settling for damage limitation, but too often this season, we seemed scared to play against the teams around us.

I am not a season ticket holder, but the few games I have been to this season has genuinely frightened me how devoid of ideas we are.
That, in my opinion is down to the manager.

We also had the 4-2 win over you under paul lambert, that was great entertainment. Better than anything we've have this season under CH!!

I'm not sure how much you've watched us, but it is a completely different proposition watching us compared to before, there was genuine excitement when players got the ball under lambert. Nowadays is lethargic and slow, no movement, midfielders not committing and if its not a set piece then we look clueless in the oppositions half. The whole feel of the fans has depreciated dramatically and not over night, it's slipped and slipped until now where it's at the worst it's been for ages. You never feel like you can get back into a match regardless of changes, no one looks up for it anymore. It's absolute dross.

I accept we had bad results under lambert, but when we lost 6-1 to man city at home I still thought we were going to get back in it until their 4th went in. We still had excitement getting back to 2-1 and then getting caught on the break from a counter.

It's a totally different proposition nowadays you feel like you're fighting a losing battle in the crowd to get the players going, where as before everyone was on the edge of their seat excited by the players at all times. You believed in them. I don't believe in this lot. I don't believe in Hughton unless it goes 100% to plan from the opening whistle, he can't change the game and he can't get the players going when it matters.

I appreciate your observations from the outside, but I think norwich fans are in a better position to comment on the football we watch week in week out.

I would snap your hand off.

I'm behind Hughton until the end of the season; then he's got to go. His complete lack of confidence in his own players and his consistently negative outlook will be what relegates us.

I hope to be wrong about us going down. I am not wrong about Hughton. Being a nice guy doesn't get you a single point in this league.

Hmmmm, well you seem to have considerably more than 1 pt. Should have moved ahead of Stoke today, and taken another step towards safety, if it wasn't for your Captain being a penis. I like how it's Bassong's fault in the game, and Chris' fault immediately after.

You're absolutely wrong about Hughton. His record in his short managerial career proves it. His track record was there for you all to look at, but you didn't bother to listen to what anybody told you, and you're still not listening now.

Honestly, you guys are the ones making his position untenable. I hope you get a manager you deserve <ok>

So who's fault is it for playing the idiot every match when you know he's going to **** up !!
Is it Bassongs fault? No it's the chump who keeps selecting him!
I'd keep your nose out of what you clearly know very little about, the Hughton we have is obviously very different from the one you remember.
Ours has failed to influence a game ALL season from the bench, has tacticly set us up wrong against opposing teams time and again and has sucked the all the pleasure and momentum out that we've built up to get to this point.
I'd get shot of him now in a heart beat and his back room team, give Adams till the end of the season and just tell him to go for it!
But what ever fate is in store for us now I just pray CH won't be a part of where we start next season.

I think a lot of the Toon fans are a remembering the season under Hughton In the Championship where he won it at a pace with largely the premiership squad that got relegated. He was doing Ok in the Prem and was perhaps at the time unjustly sacked, but there must have been a reason for Ashley to act.

The bottom line is you have not watched and seen the tripe he produces here. It must be close to 70 substitutions he has made and not one has made a difference. Yesterday he took our arguably our biggest threat to unlocking Stoke. Now it may be that it was not the major influence on the game and indeed his subs were attacking but our strikers are awful at the moment. Wolf has ONE shot on target every three games, Elmander has not scored in the Prem at all and Hooper has lost confidence. As for Becchio, Hughton obviously does not rate him.

Now these strikers are all his signings. The question has to be asked are they just rubbish or are the tactics employed not helping them? Either way the manger is implicated.

If you want Hughton back then please feel free to make an approach. I would not want Pardew either. Basically both for me are mediocre.

I'm neither a roman or from the peoples front of judea but quite honestly pal you haven't got a clue. A manager had a good run with you 4 years ago so he can't possibly be poor or out of his depth anywhere else? I've seen you comment on here before and I understand the affection that you gordies have for him, but being honest I'm sure you can acknowledge that earlier in the season it was 3 or 4 dissenting voices who had lost patience with hootun, now you'll observe that few if any would want him to continue into next season. Now I wonder why that might be? He was quite clearly wonderful 4 years ago! We must be great but just unlucky right? Hootun can't possibly be limited and not the right fit? What would any of us know watching his team play week in week out?
I think the right phrase here would be "TheJudeanPeoplesFront eunt domos!"

    Bah!

Toon is a completely different animal to us canaries, in comparison we are a much smaller team in many aspects (financially, attendances etc). Having a conservative defensive minded manager will probably work with the quality of players they had back then but it certainly isnt working for a us now( a team fighting for our lives). We are a team in transition now kind of stuck in the middle to becoming a mid table team, our players just do not have the level of skill or size (stoke being an example) to be able to sit back and shut up shop. We have to go out an attack and cannot afford to rely on clean sheets at the expense of scoring goals the other end. CH is not a good fit for a team of our stature, a team who needs to fight tooth and nail every weekend..

What done it for me was last weeks post match interview where he admitted to consolidating our position at 4-1 down with an already 3rd worst goal difference in the league, this said a lot to me about what is and has been going wrong this season, the manager does not instill any confidence in our players its so obvious to me no matter what words come out of their mouths they are only words and the table and goal difference does not lie...

I think his stats speak for themselves, what's his win ratio at Norwich now?, 30%?

    Wiki says its:
    Norwich City England 7 June 2012 Present 78 23 23 32 29.49

    That right?
