We desperately need a forward .
Oliviera 1 goal in 16 games and that was a penalty

What is the problem with our home form? Is this all down to fatigue from Chelsea match? Surely not! Oliveira is acting like a petulant teenager and please somebody buy him and take him far away. We went into a very bad run after the Arsenal League Cup game so here’s hoping history doesn’t repeat itself.

Very disappointed that Abrahams hasn't been at least on the bench .

While fatigue might have played some part, we started well and then fell away and the goal gave them a boost. Towards the end of the half we came back but there was little cutting edge in the front three. That continued in the second half until Tettey's poor back-pass to gift them a goal, though Gunn bears some blame as well for not reacting quickly enough. Pinto got us back into it with his excellent header from Vrancic's accurate corner for the assist. He and Wes improved our attacking, but their packed defense just made it too difficult.

We all knew that the last 6 or 7 windows. Even before Jerome left we were desperate for numbers. Still not read or heard a single striker linked.

I suspect that DF/SW/DS do not take the fans opinion into account when deciding of player purchase. Although it is fairly obvious that we need to get rid of Oliveira and either replace him or give others a chance (they couldn’t do any worse) those persons seem to want to ignore the obvious as it might cost us money which they claim is not there. Not enough firepower in the final third heard this time and time again from several quarters, but nothing changes.

    Oooh! Not seen this!

Yes! I prefer this to a lot of the other sh*te that has been mentioned. I've heard a fair bit about this kid. He's pretty good. He's a bit like a young and faster Jerome. He works his socks off, tall, Not a great finisher. but decent.

Our problem yesterday was centre midfield
Both Tettey and Reed were awfull.
Neither defended well, or contributed to going forward.
Tettey didnt look fit and Reed didnt look intetested.
    Our back 5 played ok.
Maddison is getting kicked off the park.
    Murphy looked knackered.
    Basil ??? no comment,
New players ??? No chance of any quality arriving
who will influance us like Hucks and Crouch did all those years ago.
I feel we are mid table for many years

We will probably panic buy Crouch on a 4 year deal £50k a week. <laugh>

I think this is a very accurate summary of our feeble efforts on Saturday from MP in today's MFW - "As much as I disliked Mr Wilder’s dad dancing at the end, I’m big enough to admit we were beaten by the better side on the day. It’s what we have to go with – they strung five across the middle and it worked for them. I’ll come out with it and say fair play to them as in my eyes they were worth their win."

I've now sat in various areas of the 'River End' this season and just about everyone comments on our inability to get 'bodies in the box' when we're attacking.
At one point in the first half on Saturday, Josh had made a decent run down the wing and ACTUALLY looked up, only to see that our player furthest forward was still 20-25 yards short of the penalty area. DF has either got to change tactics/players/bring in new signings (to give the lads a hand!!!).if we're to have ANY hpe of winning games!!!! :steam:
Having watched the FA cup game on Wednesday and been at CR to see our fitful offerings, JM's 'tank' is 'running dry' and other than test their keeper with a first half free kick, didn't contribute much in either game.
I'd LOVE to see Abrahams on the bench on Saturday and come on as a sub for the last 20-30 minutes, so that should we get in the 'final third', we have a player who is willing to run and get in the box in the hope that a cross comes in that he can attack and at least test their keeper.

Our Under 23s have beaten both Stoke and Newcastle so far this year and I'm hoping the run will continue when they play Bournemouth at CR this evening.

PS - All I can say is - thank goodness I gave up my ST and I won't be applying for a replacement any time soon.
PPS - Must now go and try to get in the online queue for a ticket to see us play 1p5wich!!!

Chris Wilder is a f**king prat though isn't he! I am more annoyed he got the win, more than our team losing. He was so sour and mouthy and bitter, and talking all kinds of crap after we beat them. Then the gestures he did to our fans after the final whistle. Absolute w**ker.
