The assist for Nelson was a touch of class. Reeds goal was Fantastic. Cries if "shoooot" will be ringing out every time he gets the ball in the opposition half.

We need another left back Hubby was free and looks iffy and if he gets suspended loses form or injured we don't have cover.
Right back Pinto is still not fit and Martin as cover isn't adequate.
All our good midfielders are midgets .
Up front it's not inconceivable that Nelson AND Jerome may be unavailable at the same time and Watkins and Naismith wouldn't be good enough up top.

This is the last season without parachute money we have spend Farke all and trousered plenty from player sales.

Strengthen now in this window give ourselves a shot at top 6, it's a long hard season and next year we will be asset stripped without the revenue coming in.

Why does everyone bleat on about strikers. It's blatantly obvious that it's our defence thats let us down so far this season and prevented us getting a play off spot last season. Martin doesn't start and we don't conceed. What a surprise, not.

I may be wrong but hasn't Ruddy improved since he left us. Gunn has done a decent job so far, not great, but ok. If Ruddy had done the same as Gunn has so far everyone would be blaming him. Martin, Hoolahan, Murphy and Gunn (i suspect) get cut a lot more slack because of their pedigree not their performances.

We came back from France for a break to get away from the heat. We certainly managed that!! You easily forget that in England spring ends in July and autumn starts in August - back to the heat tomorrow. Whilst here I have managed to see all the matches including the Fulham game and have been really encouraged by the standard and style of our play and I thought that last night was a good solid all round performance. Whilst I fear we might face last minute raids on our squad we still have Pinto, Klose, Jarvis etc to return and overall I do think that that we are beginning to successfully return to leaving within our means and building a squad that will only improve with time. I really do not see how anybody could be disappointed by last nights performance.

Apparently, the commentary at the final whistle said that Gunn, Franke & Zimmerman had a three-way embrace at the end to celebrate the rare and precious luxury of a clean ****!
Not much of that evident when we had Martin, Bennett & Bassong responsible for 'defending' ! <yikes>

There haven't been many to celebrate over the last few years.
Great to see that sense of satisfaction in the new guard and if we score as many as last year as well as shut out games we could win the bloody thing.:emoticon-0175-drunk

You're more likely to see Jarvis Cocker steaming up and down the wing!
