I've got nowt against Toon but dearly want us to keep their away struggles going with a comfortable win. We need to find 5 wins to be as good as nailed on to stay up again and can't be fussy over who we get those wins against <ok>

Have to say I'm very impressed by Pilkington, much underrated player for me. I'm surprised there is not more interest. Puts a great cross in and scores his fair share. What we would give for his dead balls too! Did they get him from Huddersfield? There the same time as Rhodes I think.

    afternoon lads and lasses
i think who returns from injury could be a big factor in this one. for us, we are missing Holt and Morrison, we could really do with one of those back rather than relying on the inexperienced Kane or Jackson.
For you, Colo, Cisse and Cabaye have been mentioned.
i went to the corresponding game last season; whilst you won't have fond memories of it, i enjouyed seeing the toon army in good form.

my prediction - 1-1. I'd be happy with a point given our recent poor run (result-wise) - and I don't think either side will want to lose so it could be cagey at times.

Afternoon Canary -Max, I'm with you, I'd be happy with a draw, I was under the impression Holt was fit to play, I'm not really up to speed with events at the moment, I seem to be giving all my attention to the transfer window, silly really as it's mainly media speculation at present.
At least you have Pilkington fit, he's having a pretty good season so far, if Holt does start, then I hope he isn't too intimidated by our new signing! <laugh>

LTF, i think he is (Holt) doubtful as hasn't played since boxing day and not sure if he's even back in training. We need a new striker like you guys.
i must admit i've spent too much time looking at all the rumours myself, might have some downtime or i'll be bored of it by mid-Jan!

i don't know much about debuchy - i take it he's bigger than Danny simpson then?!

I don't believe there's any height difference between Simpson and Debuchy, but Holt is like Man Mountain, certainly not afraid to make use of his stature, I'm sure I recall playing for Nottingham Forest a while back, he's doing very well at Norwich!
