That was 100% offside we need var the officials are **** in the championship. City playing well today-don’t deserve goals just given against them when not deserved.
If the player who made the last pass had scored then there would be no problem and the goal would have counted. When that player passed the ball forward, and it definitely was, the player who put the ball in the net had only Max between him and the goal line and the law says 2 players have to be there for it not to be offside. However if the pass that ended up being put into the net was not forward then the goal would count but it certainly was. The key factors are was it a forward pass and were there 2 defenders between the scoring player and the goal line. The answers are yes it was forward and no there were not 2 players between him and the goal and in fact I don't think there were any.
That was a very good display by City today-deserved at least a point and should have had three. That goal was miles offside by Norwich.
We look so much better with our organisation these days. Extra quality will need to be added in the summer to progress further.
Definitely only Max there so Lino adjudged the player who scored was behind the passing player. It’s close but was offside imo. Last week a decision went our way this week went against, would still prefer on balance to have refereeing decisions than VAR.
We’ve been better against better teams for a good while now, if we can bring players in over the summer to break down teams that sit in we’ll be in a good place next season. Just a shame we didn’t do it last summer,,as it’s been our Achilles heel for some time.
We’ve ended Norwich’s winning streak. I was watching the FAWA stream. The Radio Norwich commentators said that. Bristol City were as good as any side theyve seen at Carrow Road this season. Well done Liam and the lads. How many is that unbeaten now?
We’ve played better vs better opposition for years - since Cotts. We did that under LJ, Deano, Pearson and now Liam. It’s a Bristol City thing. Good sides be afraid - be very afraid…..
I’m waiting for the officials to be attacked by some on here for a controversial decision against us this week, as much as they did for a decision in our favour last week.
I think Rebecca’s ‘poor’ decision was more understandable than the offside for their goal today. At AG, the ball hit the guys hand. She arguably should have let that go, but she made that call. The offside today was as blatant as you can get. I doubt if there will even be a debate about it.
R&W Until we're able to see across 'the line' we have to accept the lino's decision. Has anyone any definitive pics ?
