Absolutely dismal performance, if I can all it that. We had 11 players out there but no team, no tactics, no defence. If this is what the new manager brings then I have little confidence of even making the play-offs any more.
If you were feeling lonely as what looked like the sole pessimistic voice on the forum over the last week or so, I don't think you're on your own any longer.
I think we looked so weak because we had no control of the middle, the best form of defense is attack, we where hardly able to complete a pass through the middle, i would have had hoolahan on after 15 minutes it was plain to see whitaker was a liabilty in that position, i dont solely blame him i just thought we had got over these silly experiments with NA, it was a total gamble IMO, i would rather have seen rusty there and Whits moved to the back, at least rusty can pass and has some pace.. just very frustrating watching that crap
The only plus is Bassong might get a game next week. I had more optimism in going up under Adams to be honest ,today was a 6 pointer & we blew it .
Brentford are a decent team so don't get too downhearted! We only just managed to beat them 4-2 Away from Home.
Sadly that doesn't give me any satisfaction, DH. I was hoping he'd hit the ground running. I fear the players haven't bought into the new set-up. I still feel that we will feel the loss of Phelan very heavily. The only positive is that it wasn't as bad as it could have been. We got let off lightly.
Clueless manager hopelessly out of his depth. Tactically enept. Can't understand what DM was thinking bringing a Scottish Sunday league manager to a club bordering on the prem league. This can only end in tears!
As I said last week, our defensive frailties were there to be seen and Neil needs to rectify them quickly. If he ignored them last week, he's got no excuses now. It was clear to anyone watching that we were all over the place at the back. If he wants to get a defensive coach in then I'm all for it.
See this would be clever if it weren't for the fact that you lost to the 2-1 at home today... On the bright side, they'll be no sightings of Carrabug giving it the biggun on this forum tonight.
They were the days! Im not actually that downhearted about it, although lets say it was not the best performance. Brentford were a decent, well organised side but not much more then that. They had their tactics right, but it is so so easy to pick the right tactics against this Norwich team (whole season) it is ridiculous. It is all too predictable.
It's been such an erratic season, if we don't go up, then I feel City will be outside the Premier League for a long time. It feels like the 1995/96 season...remember that, on loan to The Endsleigh?
