I think that’s the right attitude. It’s easy days, we’re a long way from cut adrift.

And the international break has come at the right time

All I have kept hearing the past few weeks is:

"So and so is injured, he should be back after the International Break"

Thank god it's the International Break.

A massively disappointing result, and no,probably not good enough, but there is just no ignoring the hammer blow of so many serious injuries so early in the season. It would effect any team hugely, let alone a team like us,newly promoted and with a restricted budget. We do need to win our home games against the likes of villa, and I am sure when we get players back fit we will start to.its still very early days, and I for one still think we will finish outside the bottom three, and as I have said before that would be a superb season for us

We still have a chance, but losing Zimmerman, Klose and Hanley all at the same time has been cruel, not to mention Trybull and Tettey when Amadou is having to provide emergency cover at CB. Too many hits in the same positions.

Pretty much spot on. McGovern was our best player which really does sum it all up.

We looked jaded today and lacked spark, pace and bite. Take nothing away from Villa who were sharp, precise and aggressive but we were poor - piss poor.

We knew that there would be tough games in the prem though. And not every game will be against the big boys like Aston Villa. As long as we take our chances against the man city's of the league we will be fine.

Don't do it Gandy! You will miss our glorious second half of the season when we fight our way to survival. It's going to be another "Canary Spring." There's no doubt. <cheers>

I have watched the highlights on MOTD and yes, it was a poor day at the office.

Onwards and upwards, hopefully get some bodies back after the break! OTBC

So, according to the Canaries' website, DF feels that the team will bounce back and I'm inclined to agree with him.
We were denied a clear penalty yesterday (the incident was a few yards in front of me), but that wasn't a surprise seeing that our old 'friend' Mr Oliver was the man in black (remember Reading in 2011!!). The linesman on the city stand side wasn't much better.
I really hope that we have enough midfielders fit in the 'resumption of hostilities' at the Liberty stadium, so that McLean can be dropped, as I really don't feel that he has done much this season and he certainly isn't suited to the position he's being asked to play. PLEASE let us have Trybull/Tettey back, or Hanley fit and move Amadou forward.
From DF - “We need some players back, or we’re not competitive at this level. We won’t get everyone back for the Bournemouth game, but I’m sure we’ll never have a situation like today again. It’s up to us to go again.

Excellent strikes by Hourihane and Luiz, but what the hell were we doing surrendering possession on the edge of our own area knowing we had a third choice keeper and a makeshift back line?? <doh>
Horror show. No excuses for gifting the ball away in dangerous areas, whoever the oppo. <grr>

Lewis had a good game, in spite of his elbow injury.
