sure, they are better than us, i wouldn't debate that with anyone. the gulf isn't enormous - its not as big as the gulf between swansea and arsenal for example, hence we only finished two points behind them last season and level on points the year before, not to mention the fact they've lost to us every time we've played them, but i digress - if laudrup thinks they require £200m+ to break into the top 6/7 then why do some norwich fans expect so much when we spend around £20m? expectations are unrealistic in some cases. my expectation is to stay up again and try and improve the style of play a bit. so far we sit 17th and are not playing direct, so we are on course! <laugh>

I think Swansea are closer to Arsenal than you are to Swansea...

If you are on course, that doesn't say much supers. I thought it looked like you were a bit unlucky at the weekend. The teams below you are really poor - I reckon you have half a dozen games to pull away or you will be in trouble without a change. I mean that though, there's a very thin line between success and failure and sometimes that line is just a few missed chances or sloppy goals given away or, conversely, converted and saved that changes the momentum. You are treading that line at this point.

i was kind of joking about 'being on course', although we have only played five games so far too early to know where we stand. this is actually our best start to a premier league season since 1994 <laugh> we were a little unlucky but then you make your own luck and we had a penalty and conceded an appalling goal so we can't really bemoan our luck. villa looked a poor side to me - i still think we'll finish above them - again!

the players passed it well and got in good positions and then fluffed their lines on the final ball - that to me is a confidence issue. as you say, its a thin line - had we won (which we deserved to) we'd be sitting 9th or higher (depending on goal difference) and things would look much rosier. i do think the lambert-factor makes fans behave worse - he's just so bloody good - we can't beat the bugger!

i do think you are overestimating swansea considerably. we will finish far closer to them than they will to arsenal in terms of points. they're closer to arsenal in terms of style, i'll give you that!!

If Swansea weren't in Europe this season I'd wager that they may well finish top 6/7, they have a superb team and their style of play means they do have the potential to compete at the top.

For me you guys are abit like Wolves were in the season they went down a couple of seasons back in that you spent quite a bit of money over the summer but have you actually improved, I'm not sure. I think you've got 2 potentially very good strikers but what's the point of spending all that money on them if the service hasn't improved? Seems like this season is the same as last season for you, yet you've spent alot of money. Looking at it player for player you probably have far better team than you did in your first season in the PL but you don't look anywhere near as good.

It was always going to be tough for you replacing Lambert, I do think he's the best manager you've ever had and potentially could be the best manager in the PL. I'd be dissapointed as a Norwich fan, more with the style of play than anything as I think there are some good signings in there but as an Ipswich fan I'm quite content with you keeping Hughton, whilst I don't think he's the worst you could get it gives me a bit of optimism that you won't go on and have any real success, to me it seems you're destined for year on year of relegation battles if you stay up and that gives us a chance to catch up. For the first season since Lambert was appointed I'm questioning whether you'll have a good season.

Guru mate seriously, don't you anything better to do with your life than trawl through twitter?

I can feel your sense of embarrassment and frustration at the epic failure of your original post.

You didn't think your team of freebies and journeymen would make a promotion challenge?

not being funny tweacle, by your comments are you saying that you didn't agree with your clubs policy on how to get to the premiership?

after all, it was freebies and journeymen that got you where you are.

Norwich. A FINE city. Twinned with Nearly (France), Soclose (Switzerland) and Krisshughton-Vukditup (Netherlands).

    He is Norwich's twelve man.

Thank you mate. We can always count on you.
