Nice to see some things have not changed, struggle to finish in the final third, central defence is as porous as ever but at least the was no hugging, fondling and kissing after goals - that, thankfully, was pleasing to see.
I was quite looking forward to the return of football but having watched that sh*te from last night, I'm not so sure now. One thing for sure, is that everyone needs to work harder to achieve anything. A high tempo game will make it more exciting to watch. Commentators need to work harder too - Sky commentators last night almost sent me to sleep a couple of times. My fear is that this restart will do more harm than good in attracting fans back next season.
They’re going to have to work quite hard to get me to renew my ST next season (if that’s even an option). Was getting bored with football anyway, and now racing’s back I’m enjoying that. Signing Ralph up to a new contract was a step in the right direction though.
Life is full of enough worries as it is. Worrying about Saints results and relegation is something I don't need. It has been really pleasant during the lockdown to have forgotten all about football and at the moment I am not that enthusiastic about getting drawn back in to it again. I am going to stick to reading a bloody good book. That is much more relaxing.
