I'm soon to be writing a piece for my website The Giant Killers on Norwich's 2-1 victory at Manchester United in 1967 when Graham Bolland's goal midway through the second half restored a lead they had first gained through Don Heath midway through the first half before Nobby Stiles cancelled it out a few minutes later. I'd be keen to hear from any Canaries who have annecdotes and memories of the game, whether you made the journey to old trafford or not.
I remember it being front page news on the Sunday morning with the City players enjoying a pinta afterwards. Also John Camkins commentary stands out describing Heath's goal. Camkin also went nuts when Denis Law (not Nobby Stiles) equalised for United.
Was at that match. Don't remember too much about it, other than as a naive teenager i had one of those rattle things, which a local sitting nearby said I should stop rattling unless I wanted a long uncomfortable ride home. Still have the programme. please log in to view this image
Impressed Gandy. That programme's nearly 50 years old. What's the oldest memorabilia that you still have?
That's it I'm afraid. Like many people I'm sure, I've thrown away stuff I wish I hadn't! That one was a memorable day, one that confirmed I was going to support this club for the rest of my life (it had been Celtic before ). Despite the rollercoaster ride since, I've never regretted it.
This was the game where I became a fully paid up Norwich City fan and have remained so ever since of course. It was an epic win and here we are nearly 50 years on and it still stands high in the shock league. There was no playing squad players in those times, we beat THE team at the time on their turf - outstanding!

I'm keeping out of this one and anyway, I'll be in the Glasshouse for my pre-match breakfast, before walking down to the Queen of Iceni about 11.30!! PS - that's a very impressive hoard of NCFC memorabilia you have there KIO.
Yes, I'll see you there all being well - I'll be the one (of hundreds) wearing a Norwich City shirt (this season's!!)
