Could Northy come back at some stage as a different, non mod, user, thus leaving any baggage behind? He deserves to be able to use this site without pressure (inadvertently from us even) and reap the rewards for the great site that he built up. Brix - don't doubt the value we place on your level headed moderation. We know you can't be as hands on as Northolt but you treat us like adults and we try to live up to that billing. The most mature poster award highlights your credentials and I, for one, am delighted that you're still with us. Please also pass on my best wishes and appreciation to Northy when you het a chance. Cheers for that Stainsie! The adulation for Northolt is totally justified. As I say, I'm a pale shadow compared to our leader - but I think most will agree that this board and it's members is and are too precious to let things slip with the departure of one member, even if that member happens to be our founder. Imho it would be utter sacrilege to allow his efforts go to waste so cheaply.
Tis a shame someone like Northy decides to leave when "management" allow a muppet like Hammersmith Blue to leave stupid comments on a QPR fans site. here comes my ban..........

That's very well put and I agree the board must go on for this very reason. Brix was it something to do with HB? If so then a lot of us are probably to blame in a way as we voted (myself included) to let him continue posting on our board a while back. If so would a re-run of the vote make a difference? At the time I thought it was all a bit of banter. It doesn't bother me whether he posts here or not and he's always good for the lulz. But if banning him would get North back then let's have another vote.
So sad to hear the bad news re; Northolt. I always enjoyed the banter that he and I had, so farewell dear friend and be Happy where ever you are going? Can anyone tell me who the management is? Are they real or not? And have forgetting that it is people like Northolt and all of us on this board , MAKE the board, not them whoever them are??? It would help if they (them) came out of the closest and show them selfs!! Maybe their wrists are too week to open the door?? A little bit limpy are we ?
If it had been about HammersmithBlues, he would've been banned from our board regardless of our vote. Whilst we're on the subject, HB justifies his wums on our board by your's on their's. Might be a bit of fun on one level but for me and other mods it's additional time and effort.
MalteseMick is owner and administrator; and CyprusSyd is the super mod. Of course they're real and show themselves fairly regularly when needed. Don't forget that not606 has message boards (like ours) for most sports and every football club - so what with technical breakdowns and so on, there's a fair bit for them to get through on here.
Fair enough I'll stop off their board if it's giving you hassle. I should point out though that out of 150ish posts, only 6 have been on their board and not all of them were wums. HB was wumming on here long before I went on there. Interesting that I'm now apparently his justification for coming on here. Go back a couple of months and he was using Northolt as an excuse. I'll put him, any of his alts (when they pop up) and District Line on ignore.
Noted Tel. Like him or not (and most seem to) I don't think DL's been an issue. As I understand it, the Chelsea mod has been banned from our board so is probably in no mood for Rs over there... As for this board, I will be looking harder at the general respect levels of visitors from other clubs.
I just want to say well done to Brix for keeping things going and for keeping us all informed re the situation regarding Northy, you been brilliant mate. Is there anything us humble posters can do to try and resolve the situation and persuade Northy to come back into the fold? I really do fear for this site without Northy keeping a keen eye out for all things QPR related, and if there's any way to get him back then count me in. This was once a one-stop shop for all news and updates relating to QPR, and also he was good at the general house-keeping (e.g. combining similar threads, nipping in the bud wumming from non-QPR members etc). Yesterday there were at least 2 threads (Watford's and Scotland's I believe) which were basically the same (i.e. telling people not to over react after yesterday's defeat), and therre are currently 2 threads about Barton. Also, on the news front I don't see any mention about the fact that Puncheon's been sent back to Southamption yet.. Don't get me wrong, I'm not having a moan, I'm just saying that it's already obvious that Northy's dedication to this site is going to be sorely missed, and so if there's any way that us posters can help persuade him to come back then I'm in. Edit - Just seen that Norway was posted re Puncheon and Ephraim. Good work
That must be Ginge then? He and Northolt didn't see eye to eye to be honest. Having said that at one point I had Northolt banned for a week from our board for his relentless diatribe, but that was neither here nor there in the scheme of things! There are offenders on both sides who can help us all out by just packing it in and having a laugh about it rather than some of the vitriolic bullshit I've read over the last few months. We have mainly resolved our issues with the Spurs board with some prolonged work, and a couple of bans/ threats of bans, on both sides from the mods involved, so surely we can get this sorted out...I am always open to a PM if someone is pissing you off from my board so let me know. It's a shame that Northolt feels this way, but there is obviously an issue at the heart of it that he feels strongly about, and let's face it he wasn't exactly a shrinking violet when it came to putting his point across
Just got back and i am genuinely shocked by Northy's departure.I have no idea what happened for him to take this action,suffice to say he will be very sorely missed.He was the focal point of all Rangers news and i would like to thank him for how welcome he made me feel when i first joined.I have tried to PM him but he hasn't any room in his folder!Really hope the situation can be resolved and our leader re-instated,even if he comes back as just a normal poster.Would just like to say well done to Brix for continuing in what must have been strenuos circumstances,if there is anything i can do to help mate just let me know and i will try to accommodate.Happy new year to all my fellow hooptons and lets just hope our team improve and Northy returns!
