I have a business, to take it progressively forward I invest in equipment, stock and staff. If I decided to no longer invest I would still have to fund my existing staff and pay the business overheads and hope someone would buy it even though the business would to all intents be going backwards. The owners of NFU are responsible for the overheads whether they like it or not, but if they are no longer investing it will eventually lead to the demise of the business.
I get all that. It was known that the club was loosing money before they bought it, so it was a philanthropic gesture / gift to the community or they saw a way to make money. After a time they decided not to fund the club anymore which became we will fund until a buyer is found. I can't see a queue forming to buy loss making non league football club, and they will end up paying the running costs till the club folds.
The Forsters offered their shares to the club for free about three weeks before the players were told about the reduced funding, but nobody wanted to take them off them.
I have spoken to Nathen Peat and 3 others of the NFU squad, they all stand by his original tweat, that is what they were told in the changing room by Les Hare and Billy Heath, Nathen was later told to retract his tweet. They are adament it was a u-turn. Just saying.

Well he/they would. What the others say would be of more interest. imo. Other than Les Hare leaving and 2 main players Anderson & Jarman going very little has changed at NFU.
Don't forget Peat & D'Larea along with a few others & the return of at least one who was told just last season he simply wasn't good enough for the first team (Dean Lisles)

I just popped into Ticket Office this morning to get my ticket, they had a small pile of tickets left, I think they are on sale until 2pm at Ticket Office and then the rest will be pay on the gate. Hoping to get parked OK in Ferriby, last time I went I parked in a School car park!!
