I wish your wumming was as good as Leicesters performance today. I can only conclude the reason they normally bottle the season is due to carrying you lot on their backs.
Not sure there's any need to be starting petty threads. We played well today and were good value for the win but we had a bit of luck in that Hull weren't on their A game. And to be fair the majority of Hull fans have taken it well and congratulated us on the result. Hull have shown enough in the first 7 games to indicate that they've got enough to cause most teams problems and I still think we'll both be in the mix near the end.
I'd like to think our fans would have shown you the same courtesy if we'd won today Fred, but something tells me, they wouldn't have. Talking the known minority here of course. Nice summary too btw.
Probably to save people time loading it. Confused me though, when I saw the 'new thread' I went looking for the other one to merge them.
If I didn't know you better ..I would think you were a wee bit bitter.. my post was not a wum, just a reasonable request..where was the harm?
the thing is weve lost end of, like NP always said dont get to high on the wins and to low on the defeats as long has the team and management learn from today regarding tactics and competing then hopefully it may be a good thing and a reality check, bring on the next game
A defeat and a win from those last two games gives us more points than two draws would have done and im sure every hull fan would have taken two draws from those fixtures if offered it beforehand so i am not too fussed about yesterdays result. As someone else pointed out, we didnt play well at all but could very easily have come away with a point if that header had found its way in so still lots of reasons to be positive! We will still be fighting for automatics and the play offs this season ive no doubt about that. Lets just hope we can recreate our last two home performances in the next one and give peterborough a right good smashing and no one will remember this defeat!
Exactly, if we beat Posh then thats 16 points from 8 games and over the course of the season that points return would put you near the top
Unless those 3 points are vital to us at the end of the season, quite frankly I'm not bothered about us losing to any one particular team or the other. Let's hope for 3 more points and 5 or 6 goals against Peterborough so we don't fall further behind the teams we could be facing in the promotion race at the end of the season. (Let's not forget if we had won yesterday we would have been joint top on points)
