It's possibility to emerge has just got back on track https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/67783970?xtor=AL-72-[partner]-[microsoft]-[link]-[sport]-[bizdev]-[isapi]
Well let’s hope so, because otherwise there will be a big fat sportswashing oil pie on offer for the worlds biggest clubs and it would likely lead to the demise of our domestic game as we know it.
From all the clubs coming out against it. It's clear it's just Barcelona and Madrid running this with maybe Juventus. The former 2 are in the **** financially as well

Funny thing is on Twitter quite a few Spurs fans are all excited its on again. They're the only club excited be an invitation only ESL without relegation, because they'd never qualify for it.
Man United have said they’ve no interest in discussing it again and it’s believed Liverpool feel the same.
Athletico have also issued a statement saying they’ve no interest, their statement quite pointedly states that nobody is interested, other than Barca and Real.
Amazing that the day it’s announced in court the revised new super league is available to present to the world. It’s as though they knew already.
There would be promotion and relegation under the new proposal.Which is irrelevant as it won’t get off the ground. No English clubs, no Bayern Munich, Inter Milan have said they are not interested.
I think the argument is that the ESL would be the top of the pyramid, although if the clubs are attempting to play in their domestic leaague and the ESL then that would not be the case, but I feel that eventually clubs will just play in one league and get promoted/relegated to ESL.
They've said the concept was to replace the UEFA competitions and play alongside the domestic leagues
Here's a surprise - according to (national) Daily Mail, Barcelona and Real Madrid will receive a "loyalty bonus" of £870 Million should plans for a ESL go ahead
It wont really affect my viewing. I watch every second of Hull City but I only watch MOTD/MOTD2 and the odd midweek game. I might watch live PL at the end of a season if there are vital matches. I dont watch the European league matches live except maybe the last vital matches. I will watch some of the 2nd leg knockout matches. There's too much football on TV. I suppose people dont have to watch if they cant be bothered.
I agree. If it had been successful I imagine teams would have withdrawn from the league cup or it would have been abolished. 14 games up from the usual 6 that european competitions provide would have been madness
