Miccoli was a very good player but now he's a fat bastard that seems to be injured most of the time and is slow as a snail. Siz or seven years ago i would say yes now definitly NO
I suggest Ghilas II this is real a centre forward not like the other. 1.5million probably enough because his team will go down 95% certain.
I didn't think Bale played left back any more? Also, it's not too bad judging a player off football manager, remember they have by far the biggest scouting network in the world and got some good scouts working for them. Their assesments of players in major top flights are usually spot on and they're very accurate with a lot of players from lower leagues. They also tend to be there or there abouts with player contracts. They do have a few highly over rated or under rated players though and they're not very good for judging youth/reserve players. The thing that pisses me off is when people get ideas from these games and make out they're some brilliant in the know scout who watches every football match in the world, if you're gonna base something off a game just say it. There's too many of those types on here. And FIFA ratings are a load of bullshit.
I'm guessing that's aimed at me given your responses to my posts over the last few days. I don't really understand why it's so difficult for you to accept that there are people in the world who just know a lot about football. I've followed football for as long as I can remember, way before I was old enough to even switch on a computer, never mind play on one. My first football shirt? A 1994 B36 Torshavn home kit (my family originated from there). From then on I just enjoyed watching football; whenever we went on holiday and there was a football match on I'd beg my parents to take me. I once watched FBK Kaunas play FK Atlantas in the freezing cold Lithuanian winter (I remember seeing Edgares Jankauskas play and he was brilliant. Those who watch SPL games will know who I mean) because I wanted to. Games like Football/Championship manager are great games, but they are just that. You rightly pointed out that these games have an extensive scouting network; they do and the club liasons with the game do provide accurate information on things like player histories, transfer fees, contracts and club info and yes, there are some notably talented players on there who some people might not have heard of in real life, but this is the same game that only two seasons ago had Guillem Bauza with as good a potential as Victor Moses (the former turned out to be a nobody and the latter is only just coming to his peak at Chelsea now). I know where to draw the line between reality and fiction, but some people don't have a great knowledge of the footballing world and rely on games like this to find out about players they've never heard of. That might be a tad risky, but if City are signing a player nobody has heard of, they go straight to Wikipedia (which can be edited by anybody) or some other trusted, computer based source (youtube springs to mind) and their point of view becomes a bit askew. I agree with you on the FIFA ratings; absolute crock of ****e. The last version of that game I bought was Fifa 96 for the Sega Mega Drive. That was when you could two foot tackle the keeper completely innocently.
Tommy it wasn't directly aimed at you but I'll be honest and admit you were one of the targets. I don't doubt that you do watch a lot of football when you're not busy pissing on childrens play areas, though there have been times when I've thought "He's got that off football manager" and there are also times you've admitted to checking out a player on there (which is perfectly ok). I seem to remember us talking about some unknowns we got linked with and you said "according to football manager he's strong, good in the air bla bla bla" which is fair enough. It's the people who "rely on games like this to find out about players they've never heard of" to quote you, then pass it off as some exstensive football knowledge that piss me off. Like it tickled me a bit the other day when you said about the pre agreed 700k fee for gedo. All along both camps have been saying there's no pre agreed fee in place, the only source to suggest there is, is football manager where come june it offers you to sign both gedo and fathi for 700k each.
I don't have the update, it wouldn't let me sign Gedo or Fathi on loan for some reason? I guess the game thought they were too good for us. I read that on an Egyptian website (I think Apth linked it when they first signed) As you said, if I look at them on FM I'll obviously say, only a cock would pass off somebody elses work as their own. Did that pissing down a slide thing really make that much of an impression? I found it hilarious?
Yes it did make a huge impression. The fact you found it funny makes it worse tbh. I guess it will take some maturity and having your own kids before you figure it out though. Other than that, your other posts are quite intelligent so I'm passing the pissing off as a lack of maturity and trying to ignore it tbh.
There's over 50,000 professional footballers in the world, picking random names out of hat is utterly pointless. There's more chance of winning the lottery, than there is picking a player that Bruce is interested in, particularly as most of his signings will be from the Championship or the Premier League. Still, if it keeps the children out of mischief...
Not true, if there's 50,000 professional footballers then that's a 1 in 50,000 chance. I once calculated the odds of winning the lottery, I can't remember the exact figure but it was something like 1 in 100 billion chance. 112,582,431,359/1 or 13,983,816/1 Depends which is the right calculation.
