Out of the 3 sides to go up, they're the only ones who haven't waved the white flag. Fair play to them.
Norwich done it a few year on the spin, made an absolute fortune out of failure. Get promoted and all the money that comes with it with minimal effort to stay in the leauge. Then get relegated and all the money that comes with it.Unfortunately there's no way to police teams doing it. That's going to be Burnley for a few years imo.
I keep seeing claims that we're a crisis club, perhaps we are but I disagree .. ... in my opinion there are many clubs in a real crisis. Here's today's contender, Blackburn. Apart from the financial mysteries, fan protests/boycotts and ownership issues they have massive problems on the pitch. They're three points off third bottom, only won one game since December and recently sacked a popular manager. They couldn't even manage to sack him without making a big mess off it then 'took the cheap option' by appointing someone unemployed. Their recruitment has been poor, their squad is unbalanced and they have their very own Jack Clarke in Szmodics. Their home games are about as tough as it gets, Sheff Wed will be brutal, and they have more games away. They had McFadzean red-carded so will now be missing one of their better players against Boro. 16-03 Middlesbrough v Blackburn 29-03 Blackburn v Ipswich 01-04 Sunderland v Blackburn 06-04 Blackburn v Southampton 10-04 Bristol City v Blackburn 13-04 Leeds United v Blackburn 20-04 Blackburn v Sheff Wednesday 27-04 Blackburn v Coventry City 04-05 Leicester City v Blackburn
It's so all the tourists are finished in time for Phantom of the Opera ... ... seriously I hope West Ham win the competition if it allows Wolves an extra place. Dunno how it works tbh, it would be funny if Wolves were in Europe while the richest club in the world are sitting at home.
They’ve got a decent run in and will still qualify for a European place imo. It’ll be hilarious if they don’t though, pressure on Howe early on next season to start delivering again.
Wow, That's a stinkin' run in! Looking at that alone should give Sheff Wed, Stoke (hopefully not), Huddersfield and Birmingham hope that they can survive.
