A few shots on target wouldn't go amiss. Loads of sloppy play and individual errors. Bot teams look awful
Definitely. I expected them to be up and around playoffs but losing Hamer and Gyorkeres has cost them. They benched Simms tonight but not sure how he has been doing down there.
Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri has asked supporters to fund the £2m which the club needs to pay HMRC & player wages: "If 20,000 people gave £100 then it's £2m and it'd be clear - so we can finish it. That would cover everything, HMRC & wages." https://www.sunderlandecho.com/spor...besZlLYLAeconrU2fpoV2ESpuA8yCfS_BGbckILadqdx8
I watched the Coventry game last night, it reminded me of many of our recent games , ie first goal totally against the run of play. This raises a question about style and intent and may just be a clue to our poor home form. Last year Coventry would probably have won that game but Robins has changed the style to something similar to ours. Earlier in the season I watched the Leeds v WBA game and it followed a similar pattern. There is always at least two ways to look at things as we know by reading this forum, but WBA play a 4/5/1 formation as far as I can work out , and its getting results, its all down to playing to your strengths and for me they are not a side to be taken lightly.
Losing Hamer, Doyle and Gyokeres has weakened them significantly this season, as it would any team losing players of that Calibre.
Oh dear, it just gets worse doesn't it The man is either totally stupid and believes it could happen which it can't ... ... or he's saying it so he can blame the supporters when they go under. Having people like this involved in our clubs is a disgrace but we've lost control now and forever.
Top ten in our league looking very strong, there's only Ipswich, Cardiff and Hull punching above their weight imo, it's going to be the long hard season we all expected before a ball was kicked.
Saudi Arabia is set to host the 2034 World Cup after Australia decided against bidding to stage the tournament. Football Australia confirmed its decision only hours before Fifa's deadline for declarations of interest on Tuesday. Saudi Arabia is the only other nation to bid. "We have reached the conclusion not to do so for the 2034 competition," read a statement from Football Australia. The 2026 World Cup will take place in the US, Mexico and Canada. Morocco, Portugal and Spain will host the 2030 tournament, with matches also in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.
Cant remember a league quite as competitive tbh , its not going to be boring for sure, even Leicester could hit a bad patch , and its as it should be, hopefully, OaU
I've gone for a little hit of league one action tonight with Derby hosting Northampton. Derby 1 up, Northampton pretty ****e.
Ive just realised Ipswich play Fulham tomorrow. I hope Fulham go full strength and bring them back down a peg or 2
