I love a 5:30pm kick off mind, atmosphere is always better. 6.30pm on a Sunday would be horrendous, though.
Man City fans will love that. Love the first line...."Premier League fans have been warned". What the **** is a "Premier League fan"?
For attending games, I find anything later than midday on a Sunday utter ****e. Kills the pre-Monday morning vibes In terms of being a TV Viewer, I enjoy the Sat lunchtime and Sun afternoon games, but never watch the Friday or Saturday evening games Out game v Ipswich last month was turd
As an incredibly selfish person who doesn’t go to many premier league games and still won’t be able to even if we get promoted, I’m all for a 18:30pm kick off on a Sunday.
The bottom three, Boro, Wednesday and Swansea, have won none of the last fifteen games ... ... the bottom six including Rotherham, Stoke and QPR have won three of the last thirty games. Sunderland need to be beating the bottom teams but hoping they can sneak points off our rivals. I think it's going to be a much less straightforward season than predicted ... ... Southampton were billed as top two but they look shocking, Stoke are in a bit of bother as well.
I agree mate, though I'd say kick offs up to 2 o'clock on a Sunday aren't too bad, but anything after that is a complete pain in the arse, especially if you're working the next day.
I've no problem having a grudge against Neil, the fact I already hated Stoke makes it easier. Irrespective of the shameful way he left, and his mealy mouthed comments since, what annoys me more is how he uses his Sunderland promotion as a massive feather in his w*nkers cap. He finished the season with us in a lower position than when he arrived. Yes we were promoted but it was by the skin of our teeth with a squad that was easily good enough to go up automatically ... ... it was only the ineptitude of Johnson that had held us back. Neil didn't really have that much to do for us to leave L1.
Our finish last season which was largely the same players shows that squad should have absolutely pissed league one
Neil uses that promotion like Steve Bruce does with his 'maginificent finish ... ... in a season when we were shyte and only went up the table on the last day when everyone was on the beach.
Its pretty much the same every year Smug bookies make relegated teams favourites and blow smoke up there arses for the first 10 games before they realise that they are not as good as everybody thought they were. Leicester look decent but not head and shoulders better like everybody was saying, Leeds look inconsistent like they were last year and to be fair that are a bit of a basket case club, Southampton look at the moment shot to **** with a one track manager who looks out of his depth. Preston are having a good run as are we and along with a few others the top of the table will become congested. I said before the season started that there will be 12-14 teams who really believe they can get top 2 which means that they will have to play attacking football and that will really suit our style as we are good at exploiting spaces and have an effective press. think the race for top 2 will be excellent this year and hope we can be a part of that as we will surprise some of our own fans and the pundits and really expect us to start generating more headlines as the season develops. Confidence will be the key to how successful we can be as our squad is young and keeping them hungry and confident will be our driving force. The next 2 game are really important as if we can come through them with out defeat (I think we may win both but they are difficult games) we will be bouncing on the pitch and bouncing in the stands Confidence and belief on the pitch and in the stands will define our season and from what I read on here the fans are becoming more and more confident by the game and I hope that does not drain away at the odd hiccup we will invariably have at some stage.
I'm sure he did but the squad that lost to Bolton included Stewart, Gooch, Cirkin, Batth, Embleton, Pritchard, Patterson, Roberts, Clarke ... ... they were 3rd and 2 points off top. It wasn't like Neil was picking up a basket case of a team, we finished 8 points off top.
Amazing . . . . Lazio’s goalkeeper, Ivan Provedel, was born in 1994 and is 1.94M tall, he wears the number 94 on his back and scored in 90+4 minutes to equalise last night please log in to view this image
