Looking at their fixtures there's an argument for a Blackburn win ... ... we could go to Preston, on the last day, with them having nothing to play for, while we're sneaking in through the back door.
Every bit as hard playing a side battling for survival as one playing for promotion. Promotion more likely and we havent even played yet
It's very poor and looks terrible. It's a sterile atmosphere whereas neutral ground semis have produced incredible games. All down to money though
Old Trafford and Villa Park were always quality for Semi Finals. Plenty of grounds around the country that would be class as a neutral venue. Surely Wembley is all payed for by now and they don't need the cash
It's all a bit 'workman like'. Dolan and Sorba Thomas are good for Blackburn but Preston are just full of workhorses.
**** that. 0-3 Edit: I thought you meant in our game last match of the season. Aye a draw here would be great.
We’ve got enough to beat Preston on this showing saying that depends on what defence we can put out I guess
It's crap that they don't do it anymore. City v Sheffield United and they end up down at Wembley in the middle of a cost of living crisis. Just play it at Old Trafford and save everyone the **** on. It takes the shine off the final imo.
Taking semi finals to Wembley has been a terrible decision. I dont know any fans who like it. All about money, like you say. Great big white elephant Wembley. Should have juat knocked it down and played all games at neutral venues. We have enough class stadiums all over to cope. If that money had gone into grassroots football this country would be better off on a number of levels.
No pressure on us at all . Even I don't feel any. Free hit and see what happens. We usually score despite everything, so always a chance.
