I'd love the rule to be as clear cut as offside is offside but they've muddied the law and made it subjective. I'd have given the goal as he wasn't in the line of the ball. Should hoy some hawkeye tech from the tennis on the flight of the ball. Keeper can see it all the way.
And that's the major problem these days. They've tried to make it so clear cut so if your toe nail is offside therefore you are but it was never quite as simple as that
Just means its open to interpretation. Robertson was in an offside position but its up to the ref/var/var assistant/var assistants assistant/bloke in the pub if he thinks he's interfering with play or not. If they took that bit out of the laws of the game then its a straightforward offside decision, no arguments.
