Not watched it (swimming after work, got to get fit) but Liverpools defence is very suspect. For all the attacking talent they have, that defence gives you a chance. If they don't win the league this year, that'll be the reason. If they'd got Guehi that would have gone a long way to making them unstoppable. But as it is, Arsenal look to have the better balanced squad.
There's some interesting 'bottom half' games this weekend and a chance for us to take advantage if we can beat Villa Burnley v Forest West Ham v Palace Wolves v Leeds Whatever happens someone is dropping point so even a draw could see us move up a notch ... ... going three games unbeaten, at this stage, would be a huge achievement and better than any team below Newcastle. I'd be happy with three draws, in those games, and avoiding defeat for Sunderland. A win, and 10 points on the board, would be incredible but quite possible.
Wolves v Leeds looks absolutely massive already. A draw in that an a win pinched for us and we really seeing a gap already. I don’t care how early it is having 7 point gap over poor sides is already massive.
I understand all the mathematics of having other 'relegation grade' teams around us because of the way it affects the table ... ... but I always want the teams below us to lose, no matter who they are. It would be nice to see Wolves and Leeds play out a dreary, card strewn 0-0 with 15 minutes of injury time.
Absolutely agreed. Draw is the dream ticket for us in that one. Feisty one with a couple reds, even better. Until we are well into the season with a gap, we are a relegation side, and we want results elsewhere to support us in that.
Aye I mean if us and Leeds win that’s 10 points and you’d fancy that’s one boxed off. I wouldn’t be offended by that. A draw definitely the pick at this stage but if someone has to nick it Leeds is better for us.
