I'm a Messi over Ronaldo person but 21 goal contributions in the old format is insane, 17 of them goals as well

That's ridiculous. What is the margin of error on this technology or when they draw lines manually? If there is a fraction of a second disagreement over when the ball left the passer's foot, that will have an impact as well.

 

The offside law is there to prevent a player seeking to take advantage unfairly ...

... there's nothing unfair about this.

If it involves a thirty yard pass there's no advantage whatsoever.

Would it be better if the law was changed so the attacking player if offside when he receives the ball?

Would that result in more goals and more attacking play?

 

Awful. Law needs to be changed, my biggest dread of being promoted to the Prem is VAR. Can't imagine not going mental when we score a goal because it will inevitably be reviewed for something.

 

Don't know what's for the best mate. I thought about some sort of leeway for the attacker, but whatever margin is chosen would be arbitrary.

There's got to be a better way than currently though.

 

I hate VAR, never liked it, never will.....until a decision goes our way of course.

 

I would prefer to stay in the championship forever rather than watch that s hite ruining games.
