I love it when players go to a perceived lower team and knuckle down and get back into the national squad.
From what I remember, their sponsorship deal with their previous sponsor ran out last May and Chelsea were looking for a long term sponsorship and couldn't get one because of no Champions League football and they didn't want to tie themselves to a lesser deal
30 y/o but there’ll be plenty of interest I’d imagine Southampton still have some good players, will make a few quid in the summer and compete again next season for promotion
I think he has really made some bad career choices. Had he stayed at City, or Dortmund, he could be top of the world now. It isnt Man Utd fault either, but there are playing mentality that suits him. Chelsea isnt that. He would be tailor made for a Liverpool imo. So much talent.
