Reckon so many teams give Leeds too much respect? Sheff Utd straight out the blocks looking to hurt them. Be a different story second half I’d imagine like. Think Sheff Utd need another goal

Do you honestly believe any player in our first team or even reserves is allowed to become out of shape to the point of being fat?

Or is sports science not a thing at SAFC like ot is at every professional club?

Well when it’s a goalkeeper who’s not required to get up and down the pitch plus we only have Simon Moore who can fill in I’m not sure there’s much choice.. are you telling me he doesn’t look out of shape for a professional footballer?

Hes clearly bulked up, but then again it's a constant cry that we need players to be bigger and stronger as we get bullied and are "weak as piss"

Do you honestly believe the club would allow him to get out of shape and fat just because he is a keeper? Come on they are monitored constantly, if he was out if shape they would sharp drop him

He’s bulked up around the belly alright. Well no, I don’t think RLB is stood greeting him on his way into the Riverbar on a Saturday night but as I’ve just said he’s a goalkeeper and we don’t really have another decent option. Could just be something we need to deal with until the end of the season. I have no idea, nor do you. But it’s blatantly obvious he’s piled the weight on.

So you believe the club have allowed him to pile the weight on because we don't have a decent option?

Fair enough, I would prefer to believe we are a lot more professional than that, but you crack on, after all it's been brewing for weeks and has taken hold online and in the ground so these rumours have done their job

I don’t think the club have allowed anything, no idea how you’ve managed to gaslight this into me taking aim at the club but that’s nothing new on here. I’m simply stating that he’s piled on the weight and unless you’re blind as a bat that’s obvious to see. Have I once said KLD is feeding him Steak Bakes when he walks through the door at the AoL every day for training?

Great performance by Sheff Utd this. Clarke is their weak link though, Solomon has the beating of him every time.

Really enjoyable game though. Two good teams.

This entire board is turning into an anti-Sunderland joke ffs.

Last week the Burnley -Sheff Wed game turned into an hour long attack on Sunderland's defence ...

... now the Sheff Utd - Leeds game is turning into another attack on Sunderland, this time the keeper.

The new play-off thread has been a relentless diatribe about how Sunderland are entirely to blame for the Danns situation.

Can those people who only want to moan about SAFC just start their own thread, form a circle and lick each other's hoops ...

... instead of turning every thread into a whinge-fest.

There's a good chance we'll be promoted to the PL and it's just all negativity from some people as if the club is toxic.

God knows what any outsiders, looking in, would think.

Apologies for derailing the thread by defending Patto. Frustration at the lazy accusation got the better of me

It’s a “Non-Sunderland games” thread and people felt the need to throw Pattersons name in licking his hoop because another keeper made a mistake as if that makes ours any better :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

    Exactly <laugh>

Patterson was only mentioned when Leeds’ GK made a mistake!

You didn't have a single word to say about the game, your very first post was a dig at Patterson ...

... now you won't shut up about him.

Not surprised to see Clarke go off. He was so poor.

Actually came in to praise Sheff Utd (must be a Sheff Utd fan) and saw people mentioning Patto so dropped a reply - then wrote my comment praising Sheff Utd not long after. About 20-25 minutes through the first half :emoticon-0137-clapp

Popped in and just happened to have photographs of Patterson with you ...

... you come on to moan about Sunderland and rarely have anything good to say.

That's your choice but don't act the innocent.

Why do commentators keep saying 'He just about kept that in' ...

... he either definitely did or definitely didn't <laugh>
