I remember in 1999 we played Sheffield Wednesday at home a week after the mags beat them 8-0. They didn't exactly park the bus, but played better than they had for weeks and were competitive and made us work hard for a 1-0 win (Stefan Schwartz scored the winner). Plymouth could be the same, but an early goal could see them crumble again.
Doesn’t matter if it’s 1-0. Let’s not be somehow disappointed if it is. It’s points on the board for rest of season. Any win is 3 points.
them 2 points could be massive for us come the end of the season, i say 88 points for top 2. Ipswich and Leicester were way better than any team in this league last season, Burnleys home record and maybe Sheff U's could cost them if we win every home game we will go up.
He’s like an unfunny uncle who keeps calling you Brian when it’s not your name … … it’s pointless telling him or he’ll do it all the more.
What a result this is… hope i’m not speaking too soon, but always thought one of the 4 would “ have a blip” it just could be Sheff Utd. Wilder really playing it down in his press conference … but I bet his a rse is going like a trouts mouth now. With Burnley and Leeds playing each other… what an opportunity for us.
Pin last nights result up in dressing room. That is the team talk. Then just go out and do what you know you are capable of. PS, no not fkn up before someone mentions it.
We keep going, Burnley and Leeds draw, then we go to Leeds and win, we go up as champions imo. Said since early season we'd go up automatically.
Seems a lot of Sheffield /Burnley/Leeds fans just don't see us as a threat ..i dont mind that as it keeps the pressure down but i cannot see how they can come to that view . Baffles me , nobody has outplayed us this season but we are seen as average
I work with a couple leeds fans and they keep saying we are giving them Ipswich vibes from last season Says we as good as they've played this season and been really impressed with us Some in the media keep playing us down, I'm fine with that tbh
