They’re committed to some fairly ordinary players, which is their struggle. Plus if they’re gonna be waiting for Argie Dan James to turn into a truly top class player they’ll be waiting a while.
Well played Forest. Amorim got a big job on his hands. Telt yers there would be 5 goals in the match.
He’s actually been very good this season. Made more big saves than any PL keeper. He’s far from the joke that he gets painted as. That was a shocker tonight though.
Players and fans piling back into the shed for photographs and a lap of honour climbing back to twelfth
Menwhile the club that couldn’t wait to shift him sit mid-table, on minus GD and … … below the giants of Forest, Brighton Brentford, Fulham, etc They’ll have a ‘Bring Back Ashley’ van going round the town of this continues.
He’s definitely a bit of a maverick, but I reckon he suffers from a general lack of protection at United. Leaves him having to make more saves - and more difficult ones too - than most in the league. Certainly more than keepers at teams with top half ambitions. He also has to fill in as their deep lying playmaker. It’s a sign of how far they’ve fallen as a club that he’s been their most secure deep lying footballer in possession during his time at the club.
They definitely need to sort their CH position out, agree he is exposed a lot but he does let in more than his fair share of howlers. As has been said, they need a big clear out of that squad and they won't be getting anywhere near £1bn for what they sell. Antony, Rashford, Martinez, Onana, Casimero, Maguire plus loads of others need to go.
.I personally think he is ****e. The odd big save his great but the best keepers have solid consistency. He couldn't make his bed the same way every day. Ridiculous money for him too
My Christmas day out in Newcastle on Thursday couldn't have come at a better time.... hang fire with that, Tuesday will be interesting
