We've gone from Chelsea v Liverpool being absolutely breathtaking to this in 24hrs, and Utd reckon they are challenging the top 4. Jesus Christ man, they are shocking. It's like Fergie only left 6 months ago, they are nowhere near challenging for anything after blowing about a Billion quid since he went. Frightening stuff.

Love seeing their awful plastic fans moaning after a defeat. Hope they enjoy their trips back to London and Birmingham. **** United.

Have not watched the Prem for a while
Caught the last 20 mins of the match
Disappointed to see that Wolves only had I one British player in their line up ,and a foreign manager , no thanks, hope we don't go in that direction

Man Utd are living proof that money doesn't guarantee success. I'll bet they've spent more money in the last 8 years than they did in the entirety of SAF's reign (appreciate transfer fees have been massively inflated in recent years)

Sportswashing FC think they are just going to buy the league when they have Stavely and Nicky Hammond negotiating transfers. Spending £30m on a 31yo full back who will be on massive wages is not a great start

It's over a Billion on transfer fees alone since Fergie left. **** knows how much on wages, signing on fees, agents fees etc in total. They have also spent close to 40m just SACKING his replacements let alone hiring them in the first place. <laugh>

This is the reason that I can't understand why Man Utd got an interim manager in rather than appointing a new manager now. Surely the players know that he might not be around for long so they could just ignore what he says and wait till the next manager comes in in the summer. But surely by doing that, they're showing how unprofessional they are and how they don't a toss about the club and fans they represent

Exactly, if they don't play for Ragnick now then the players will (or they should be) be well and truly ****ed when he moves upstairs and a new manger comes in. There are loads need bombing out of that club, stinking attitudes from most of them.

They think that just because they look at Man City and think that they just spent money on players, yet never look at the detail. City were much further along when the Etihad lot bought them compared to the Mags. Newer, more modern stadium, decent academy system already producing decent players (Micah Richards, Nedum Onhua, Joe Hart, etc) some of who were or became full internationals, they were already an established upper mid table team looking to kick on to the top 6. The Etihad lot spent money on players, but also spent it on the academy, developing the Etihad campus, building up City Football group by buying clubs in other leagues (expanding brand identity and merchandising for more revenue), appointments like Brian Marwood and Gary Cook to run the club. It's taken years to get to where they are now, even allowing for how they bent (at least) FFP rules. City have spent £1.3 Billion since their take over, and that's not including what Liverpool, Man U, Spurs or Chelsea have spent as well all to at least maintain their challenges for titles/Champions League. Clubs with much more recent success, glamour and history than the Mags, and clubs that are still more likely to attract top class players than them. The Mags might likely have to spend £1.5Billion plus, just to try and compete with more established clubs without any guarantee of it working out. When you look at how much money has been spent by Everton in the last few years, and even ourselves to a lesser degree, spending cash is no guarantee of success.

Which leads to a couple of questions -
1- are mag fans patient enough to let the club grow steadily or will they turn on the owners of they aren't winning stuff quickly or don't see enough money being spent?
2- because of the Saudi's human rights record, how will they cope if some atrocity involving them happens (more bombing of Houthies in Yemen) and causes financial restrictions to be imposed on assets of the Saudi state, not to say human rights protests at mag games?
3- if the sportswashing doesn't work or the Saudi's get bored, how are they going to take it? There've been rumours for a couple of years now that the Qataris are becoming disillusioned with PSG. Winning lots in France is OK, but they've not made the in roads into the Champions League that they'd wanted.

Wigan and Rotherham are both playing in the Pizza Cup tonight and then again Saturday in the FA Cup.
Lets hope they both progress to the next round in both cups so we can see how their squad holds up with 2 games a week.

Wigan 2-0 up in the Pizza cup and look to be going through to the next round. Great news, the more games they’ve got - the better.
