Edgar Davids and Bournemouth! Not quite. The Cherries have actually completed the signing of midfielder Lorenzo Davids, cousin of Champions League winner Edgar. The 25-year-old, a free agent after his release by German side Augsburg, has agreed a two-year deal.


Bournemouth sign famous player's cousin.

"Wonderful stuff. Ingenious. Any club interested in Cavani will now have to pay the buy-out clause included in his new contract, which is said to be around €60m. Napoli deserve credit. Tying now Cavani, a player widely considered to be one of the best strikers in the world, is maybe the best piece of business done by an Italian club on deadline day."

We should have done something like that with Ramirez. Cortese calls a press conference, and unveils Yoshida and Mayuka. Then looks glum and says that Ramirez will not be signing this evening. Leaves a dramatic pause before he looks up, cracks a smile and say 'because he signed this afternoon'. The curtain opens, firecrackers go off, and there is Ramirez holding a saints shirt.
