The universe is a computer game God is playing it Miracles are a cheat code Bad **** happens when his WiFi is down Amen
Actually if life did evolve, and eventually evolved to the extent that it could build supercomputers much more powerful than any computer we have yet built, then it goes to say that technology could eventually simulate a Universe and all its variables. Considering that master lifeform could create as many of those simulations as it wants, it goes to say that we are more likely to be a simulation than be the master. http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2012/10/11/physicists-may-have-evide_n_1957777.html That creator doesn't qualify as god though, since no one created him (regress that point ad-infinitum if someone did create him).
Here's the beauty of it, you assign a drawer downstairs and deposit that extra sock in it and every morning all you need to do is grab a pair of socks at random and with that stashed sock you will always have a pair!
You ****s will all go to hell, then you'll be sorry. Being a Christian I will prey for your collective souls if I can be ****ing bothered.
That's the thing...we as the universes AI ask questions based on the rules of science as we know it....but what if these rules are only for our platform?
You are doubting evolution? There is no missing link, we've found dozens of human-ape creatures which either are related to us or went on a slightly different evolutionary path.
that or just keep my socks downstairs. Pairing them before putting them in the drawer is way too much bother obviously.
Even Darwin doubted evolution you fud. He believed in a God ffs. And Mind The Duck - very good point, how arrogant is it for humans to pre-suppose that everything in the vast universe revolves around human living conditions. Here on our planet we have species that survive underwater.
There's a long-winded answer to this debate but i'll be ****ed if i'm going to explain it. I could hint at it and see if anyone picks it up but as I said I can't be arsed in all truth. If people choose to believe in A God then I say let them, as long as it does not interfere with my life. I know a lot of good people who believe deeply in the existence of A God and I also know a lot of people who don't believe but are just as good. What does that say about religion? I don't know but I would never criticise anyone who has faith because I don't know their particular reasons for doing so. I'm happy to leave it that way and live my own life without worrying about others.
Dev has found peace. Let this be an inspiration to you all (he still retains his title as biggest **** though)
