Players in the prem would probably get up and complain to the ref about how they clearly got the ball first.
Nice one AC Milan, first title in Italy in 11 years. Still a long way off the top teams in Europe, but perhaps on the way back. And Daniel Maldini picked up his first Serie A winners medal for the club. His dad, Paolo, has 7 and his grandad, Cesare, 4.
Dykes in the Scotland squad for the big play off v Ukraine, which everyone in the world bar the Sweaties and the Ruskis are hoping that Ukraine will win. Also in the squad is David Marshall, credited as a QPR player by the BBC…..surely not?
"David Marshall returns to the squad to take the contingent of goalkeepers to four on the same day he sealed a move from Queens Park Rangers to Hibernian but experienced Norwich midfielder Kenny McLean misses out with a broken toe." Liam Kelly also named in the squad
Congratulations Roma for winning the inaugural Euro Conference Losers Cup of Nothing League. And well done Mourinho (who I thought was well past his time) for winning yet another trophy. Small irony that he won the trophy specifically designed for perennial losers Spurs, the only team which sacked him before he won something for them. Somehow he even got Urinals to win the Europa League which in hindsight looks miraculous.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61311898 Hmm, not sure I’d rank Celtic ‘67 as the greatest club team of all time. Perhaps these on line polls are open to manipulation….
The only thing that truly seperates them from the other sides in that list is that they were all born an raised within a very small radius from the ground.(If I remember right, one of them had the audacity to be raised a full 30 miles away...). That's something that will never happen again. However, for me, Real in the fifties or Ajax in the 70s have to top that, but seeing as their fans probably don't read BBC then the "sellick" faithful will swamp the site with their votes
Farcical list that anyway, where is the Forest team that won back to back European Cups or the Leeds team of the early 70's ? Not to mention the Busby Babes who obviously never got to show how good they might've been. For me the Liverpool team of 88-90 played some of the most unbelievable football I've ever seen to this day, so they get my vote just to upset Steels
For me it would be AC Milan 88/89 but only because I was there and saw them. The best team, including national sides, I have ever seen play. Otherwise the Ajax team, which can’t have been from much further from Amsterdam than the Celtic boys….
Seems Derby aren't the only club with problems, Sunderland are subject to a very 21st century version of 'fan ownership' via crypto tokens. The EFL are now being asked to approve this but reading this makes you wonder what the f*ck is going on...
Another test for the EFL, Bassini apparently lent funds by David Sullivan. His track record is appalling. Worth a few quid on them going down?...
