Rooney turns down an offer from Everton to discuss their managerial vacancy, cause ‘I still have a job to do at Derby’. Now I know he doesn’t need the cash, and I suppose some people will interpret this negatively somehow, but that’s pretty impressive behaviour in my book.
He's had plenty of opportunities to walk away with the sh*tstorm going on there but he's done an exceptional job in the circumstances and this enhances that even more. Top bloke...
Always liked him...... Even more so after that wonderful cross field pass to Eze a couple of seasons ago that allowed him to set up Ilias for the winner........ Seriously, fair play to him for sticking with Derby........
Never had any problem with Rooney though perhaps that's because I don't know him! But he did a great job for Everton, ManU and Derby as a player, and looks to be doing pretty well as a Manager in what I guess must be very difficult circumstances. And he sticks with them when maybe he'd have an easier life and possibly more money somewhere else.
Some horrendous allegations being made against Mason Greenwood this morning by his girlfriend. Lots of pictures and voice recordings alleging beatings and rape ! Police stormed their house in the early hours, seriously grim if true. Obviously wait till further news emerges but Jesus if this is true I hope he rots in prison. If it ain't true then she's one messed up person, bloody grim either way
Let's actually wait until full facts come out Peter. If he did do what she said... I agree completely with you But let's just hang on bit
Fat Frank ‘agrees to become manager of Everton’ Big of him, hope they are grateful to get someone with such an outstanding managerial record.
Have you seen Sunderland 'til I Die? I haven't, but my son loved it. Apparently watching it was what induced Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney to buy into Wrexham. They loved the tribal passion of the fans, but the idea of being able to get promoted into bigger leagues was the real draw, apparently. Promotion and relegation not known in US sports, I suppose.
