The wurzels HAD to give it a go; it was a semi final in which they were losing on aggregate so they had no option but to go for it.

I can't accept that Bristol City had no option but to go for it because they were behind from the first leg. They were also 2-0 down at Ashton Gate so were then 4-1 down on agregate but didn't roll over then did they. They fought back and got level on the night before Man City killed them off with their 3rd extra time goal. They didn't sit back, give up and think it was all over to try to keep the score down to a more respectable level - they went for it.On that basis, we were losing so didn't we have to "go for it"?

We went 1-0 and then 2-0 down and made no response at all - a bloody reprehensible attitude unless we just wanted to be out in the first place that is.

Looks like I'm on my own on this one but I still can't figure the merit in losing by less goals than it could have been if we'd had a go that most of you are advocating - we were out and 2-0 or 6-0, what difference does it make?

There were nearly 33,000 fans there and I doubt half of them will be back for the next home game because we continued to shut up shop when we were behind. There was a chance to excite the casual fans with a fighting performance like Bristol City produced. They deserve to get a lot of their "new fans" back for their next home game because of that.

The clapping at the end was more in homage to the Man City performance than ours and what came across to me was that many of those that did clap did so out of sympathy for a Cardiff side that didn't have a clue what to do on the night.

A lot of the blame (or credit if you wanted to be out) must go to Warnock who set it up wrongly with man to man marking and failed to alter tactics after we went behind.

Anyway, that's my opinion.......

Lets not pretend MC couldn't have put double figures on us if we'd pressed high and left space. We're not even close to good enough in possession and we're too slow all over the park to deal with them.
They scored 3 and it took an x rated challenge to stop Sane from probably adding another and we were in all out defence mode.

They're different class to Spurs so I don't accept the comparison with County. If Spurs had picked Son, Ali, and Erikson to start it would be a fairer comparison (and probably a very different night for County).
Even with those 3 and Kane MC are a different class. Spurs were pedestrian with Loreinte having an incredible game for County He broke up more Spurs attacks than any County defender.

We needed Pep to send a b/c side to have a chance. He actually went pretty much full strength. We could play that match 100 times and imo we'd lose it 100 times the gap is just too big.

its a sheik thing, they love the finest things in life and at the moment they have that almost complete with this man city team..........our sugar daddy on the other hand hasn't even got a torso 2 spare his trousers blushes

Cardiff City have signed striker Gary Madine from Championship rivals Bolton Wanderers in a deal thought to be worth about £6m.
The 27-year-old has scored 10 goals for the Trotters this season and joins promotion-chasing Cardiff on a three-and-a-half-year contract.
Madine scored from the penalty spot against the Bluebirds in their 2-0 loss at the Macron Stadium on 23 December.
He joined Bolton from Sheffield Wednesday in July 2015 on a free.
The fee for Madine is the biggest transfer outlay by owner Vincent Tan since the Premier League season in 2013-14, when Cardiff paid £11m for midfielder Gary Medel.

No, I didn't say they deserve no credit. It was a fantastic effort, they deserve and received immense credit for a very unlikely result. If we'd played that Spurs team and been negative I'd have agreed with your sentiment regarding us 'having a go'.

From an armchair viewer, it was tedious at times. I really thought we'd show it a bit more fight. I expected a very different approach in the second half. Well, it was different, less fight and we allowed citeh to have too much of the ball. At one point, I think they had the ball for 3 minutes without a bluebird even attempt to get the ball. Very disappointed in the lack of invention, we looked like rabbits in the headlights at times.

OS the problem is, I can’t turn off. I want to see my team play, and turn it around when losing. I am back in the UK in March and am hoping to get to the Game against the Rams. I am hoping to get to a home game, but waiting on confirmation of some visits, so not sure which game I’ll be in Cardiff for.
