Albrighton would be a decent squad player. Seems to have not lived up to his early promise though. I suppose thats why he's been released by Villa.

 

Sky sports linking us (along with other clubs) with Lescott. Says he's prepared to take 50% pay cut.

 

Very generous of him, still think he'd be over paid with a 50% reduction.

 

I do love our defenders but with regular games he could be the best of that lot.

 

Davies and Lescott would be a class CB pairing. As would Chester, Davies, Lescott in a back 3.

 

Isn't he usually injured 50% of the time anyway?

Villa fans are absolutely bamboozled by his release. He was their best player towards the end of last season by some way and they think he's very good.

I wouldn't mind signing him on a FAT.

 

It was that young striker from Peterborough, Britt Assombalonga.

 

Just that we've been warned off some Peterborough striker as they don't want to sell. Not quite blowing your socks off material

 

Are we actually in for assambolonga I thought we didn't want a striker

 

Barry Fry stated they wanted to keep him and "wouldn't take £5M for him"....yeah right

 

As much as I love the name, I can't see us getting him. These players who are doing well in lower leagues always go for huge money, and for that you could get another Huddlestone type player.

 

Agreed. I sooner us go for Ashley Young, Antonio Valencia, Thomas Rosicky, Victor Moses etc....

Maybe Chadli or Lamela will be available at a knock down price.

 

Lescott would be an outstanding signing. As would Danny Rose.
