Junior bent just to be different amazing runs often ending in a shot over the eastend but would get the whole ground up some games this would happen multiple times, played 200 plus games at the level were at now remember him scaring liverpool defence to death before we beat them at anfield a city legend in my book but just an honourable mention nice guy too use to see him on the bus! But my vote goes to murray
Whitehead was a true team player. No sulking when he was moved to fullback and full of pace and trickery when on the wing. Graft some of that onto Adomah and he is a premeirship player.
It would be hard to overlook Clive Whitehead when he held down a first team place at different clubs in the top division. 200 games plus at City and an integral part of the club during promotion. His flexibilty was an asset. Many widemen cannot defend, some have a poor final ball the only obvious minus Whitehead had was he did not score many.
Junior certainly was a legend and **** was he quick! I'm really torn between Whitehead and Murray as both were essential to our team, but think Whitehead nicks it simply because I remember how good he was even when I was about 3 years old. Oh, but Murrays goals could change games numerous times.... Damn I'm confused - can I do one vote for each?!
Jimmy Mann was mainly right footed and played mostly wide left midfield. Cutting in and unleashing them.
Scott Murrary for me without his goals he club would be a lot worse off now, shame GJ disliked his popularity as he was still one of our best players when GJ was trying to get him out the door.
Reference Scotty and also Louis Carey. Does anyone know why both left around the same time for rather fruitless, playing wise, stays with Reading and Coventry? Was it City's financial situation, or did both really want to try the greener grass?
