    Where going down just because Nolan wants a five year deal and so has rejected a 2year extension?

    He's still here for the next 2years just like Barton is here next season.

    Ideally I'd like us to retain both Barton and Nolan. We have an extremely small squad and need to be adding to it. We need maybe three or four on top of what we had. Given we're getting rid of Smith, we've got rid of Ireland, Campbell, Kuqi, if we then lose these two (and lets face it our quality and guile level drops markedly when they don't play) then I would be concerned that our task in terms of numbers becomes a real challenge. I'd hate to see a major overhaul, you lose a lot of cohesion in the process. It's not as simple as just plonking good players on the pitch and they win. I think the club should be driving a hard bargain but not to the point where we aren't paying market value.

    We've signed an international midfielder. Nolan has 2 years left on his contract. Barton has said he wants to stay. Enrique gave the club a list of targets, all of which have been met.

    If you ever want to get out of Sunderland one day, I first recommend you learn the difference between your-you're, and they're-there.

    Maybe you'll have a 25 man squad complete with healthy (club-owned) strikers come August? Probably not.

    Mackem in pease, Yeah I'd be the first to admit my joy at the way Ashley has and is running your club but, Ihatetheblackandwhites what is our chairman doing?? allowing the sale of Bent now Henderson and where will it stop??

    Both clubs wont be in a relegation battle next season
