So the pound is soaring at pre referendum levels is it? The splurge of buy it before the UK goes tits up coupled with foreigners picking up our companies on the cheap thanks to devaluation is what is going on. Meanwhile those with vested interest try and keep the actuality from getting out. You are doing a good job at it Mr banker!
The British pound had become greatly overvalued between 2012 and 2015. International speculators, believing that London property was a “safe asset” have poured money into the UK, bidding up property prices and the value of the pound. The rise in the pound’s value made British exports pricier and imports cheaper, which caused imports to increase more rapidly than exports. As such we are borrowing to pay for this indulgence. In effect, the country was living beyond its means and a fall in the pound was inevitable and much needed. Please do not talk about things you are so clueless about as it is become embarrassingly easy to despatch you and your mate. I need worthier opposition on this thread to keep the debate alive!!
They believed it was a safe asset and now they don't. Says it all! Lets have a rush to the bottom, hawking our people round as the cheapest, most flexible (read desperate) and easiest to dispose of (sack). A Thatherite such as you must think all your birthdays have come at once. We are truly in Tebbit's world!
40% increase in Brits applying for Irish passports. Now I know everyone claims to be Irish, but this is ridiculous
So it's gone from 10 to 14. It's just a family of ex irish pikeys wanting to resettle their caravan and pony in Cork!
Was that a typo Eire or did you mean 10% (almost)? “The number of Irish passports issued as of 13 December 2016 was 719,675 and this is projected to increase to almost 740,000 by the end of the year. This represents an almost 10% increase on the 2015,” said Deputy O’Brien. There were 672,760 passports issued in 2015. In his reply to O’Brien, Flanagan said: Underlying demand for passports in 2016 was already running at an increase of over 9% on 2015 before the Brexit referendum. This was in part driven by an increase in outbound travel, the Euros 2016 as well as a spike in applications in 2006 feeding through in the 10 year renewal cycle. You should get a job as a reporter for the Fenian Mail
Detail not you strong point? Eire said a 40% increase in the number of Brits applying for Irish passports. You're quoting the overall increase in applications
