And I'm sure your neighbours .....Turks are grateful for that.....then again over the years the strikes that your BR comrades have equally cost the country
I remember some from growing up in the BR days or are you talking about the ongoing Southern conductor strikes?
Cop out, Stevo. You're right, Shaks. I'm now an Aussie, but I remember when I was a pom and hated the tories (well, to be honest, still do).
No cop our brissy as I remember the old BR strike days, unfortunately we'll never return to a renationalised BR. Assume shaks meant the BR days but there's the ongoing Southern conductor strike that you may not be aware off?.
Back on thread, The sooner Theresa May activates clause 50 to officially give notice to get the ball rolling to get the **** out of the EU the better. Glad it's a woman back in No.10 tbh as women are better listeners which we'll need going into the EU exit negotiations in these crucial new times going forward, with men it tends to be all about pride & ego. I'd still like a snap election though tbh to get a fresh Brexit mandate and to wipe out Labour once and for all so it'll kill two birds. May won't call an election though straight away as she probably want to get the Brexit negotiations out the way, the Tories will probably say something along the lines of that the promise of an EU referendum in their last manifesto covers the need for a fresh mandate as nobody could know the result. A recent poll after the EU referendum result showed that Corbyn would wipe Labour out if he leads them into the next GE, losing them two thirds of their seats taking them down to 70 odd seats, which is why they're desperate to get rid of him. Labour were unelectable under red Ed and Corbyn has gone even further making them even more unelectable, no sane, professional gambler would even put a single penny on them. History shows that new PM's don't go to the country straight away after replacing the incumbent, Major when he replaced Maggie in 1990 & Brown when he replaced Blair in 2007, don't expect May to either but we'll see in time. Funniest news of the day must be Jon Trickett, Labour's election coordinator saying he's putting the whole of the party on a general election footing, bet the Tories are ****ting themselves. https://www.politicshome.com/news/u...7/labour-tells-theresa-may-call-snap-election
Nice to see Theresa on the march and hitting the ground running, now we've got a bird back in No.10 we'll hopefully see a return to Maggie's glory days.
Well, well, well remainiacs, seems Britain is still open for business with the Japs investing £24 bn.......... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-36822272
While she's at it can she activate the get out of Europe clause now and stop dragging her feet. Heard she wasn't doing anything about it till 2017..
