With news filtering through about bids for Bendtner and Elmander.

Yes we need a replacement but we need to make sure we dont pay an inflated price ourselves.

If we can hang on to the summer we will have the biggest transfer kitty available to us for some years, we should and could be able to do some good business
 
I think Bendtner would be a panic buy. He would demand high wages, a high transfer fee and has never really set the world alight. However, the signing of Elmander would be a good signing for us. He wouldn't cost massive amounts due to the contract issues he has and has been in the form of his stint with Bolton this season. He could really be a good signing for us.
 
Anelka on loan.
Elmandar or Benny would be OK but nothing to get jeezed about.

Now.. someone like Connor Wickham would be special!
 
i'd rather we wait it out till summer, we can survive (hopefully) and finish mid-table with ranger/shola/lover/best
then in summer we can get a young, promising talent
 
I'd be happy to sign Bendtner, even for the quoted 17 mil, the market is ridiculous - Torres 50M?! and Carroll is going for more than David Villa. My point is it's not as bad a deal as it looks and he is a replacement who is the right age and is more proven than Carroll, his form wont continue forever. Liverpool and Chelsea are the one's panic buying, we are just thinking fast (if true) thanks to Carroll's dismal timing.

Got to stay Anelka was the first name that sprang to mind, when the possibilty of these two transfers were discussed today, though got to stay will he come? and what will he be like in the dressing room? Elmander is a good striker, caused us a whole load of problems when we lost 5-1 at Bolton in November.
 
Our current squad will have the quality to avoid relegation this season, we only need around 10 points to ensure survival. I think we should play ameobi/lover or ameobi/ranger then when the summer comes sign someone, every club knows we have just recieved a lot of money and will try and get as much off us as possible.
 
comon lads Heskey will come Anelka no chance why would he give up CL football, doesn't make sense, got to be fuller or hesk no time left or do without.
